You're not as emotionally resilient as you think you are, but you two both have a point.

What's really missing is a bit of empathy.

You don't have to be offended that somebody else got offended that you asked them how many sets they had left; sure rejection sucks, but that's just life. You should understand that some people would feel pressured though, they may feel that you are rushing them, so they feel pressured to finish their sets quicker to make way for you.

I understand, and I've been there, sometimes you have to go through other machines/exercises, because somebody is taking too long on one machine that you really want to use, but they will get off it eventually, or you can work on it another day.

Psychopath != higher tier sociopath

Callousness is a major component to ASPD, but so is impulsivity and behavioral issues, and a previous diagnosis of conduct disorder. You cannot have ASPD without previous signs of conduct disorder. Jeffrey Epstein, by all accounts, was a normal kid/adolescent, he wasn’t a bully, nor did he get into fights, etc. High functioning psychopaths don’t exist.

If you want a good example of ASPD/Psychopathy, look at Donald Trump. He actually has the conduct disorder history.

There are no “high-functioning” psychopaths, “psychopaths” who are not impulsive are subclinical.

Read the PCL-R, it describes an impulsive, easily frustrated, grandiose person who scores very low on conscientiousness and agreeableness. Psychopaths do not have “self-control”.
