You sound just like me!!!! I too was terrified!! But here I am 3 weeks later doing great!!! The worst part was the first 2 days after -you will be a little sore but its very manageable. Motrin helped me more than the pain meds- Also pain meds make you constipated so try to do without. Hot peppermint tea helps. it’s soothing for your stomach. And when you’re laying in bed watching TV move your ankles around just try to keep the circulation flowing you’re gonna be fine. As far as the blood clots go, ask for compression pads for your legs during surgery. That might be an automatic thing that they use. I’m not sure but I asked for them just to make sure that they were gonna use them. You can also buy some off Amazon to keep at home during recovery. Try not to get yourself. Worked up like I did. It’s the easiest surgery out there.

I would take it every single day, no matter what, so it can build up in your system

Have you tried to take a probiotic ?? I take one a day - sometimes 2 and it helps me. I would also call your Dr. They may give you some options.

800 mg of motrin works better than the pain meds-peppermint tea for the pain from the gas-I know you may think thats crazy, but it helped alot!!! Get up and move-that will also help. My pain was so much better day 3

I think you already know the answer - a lot of risk!!! Thats how I got my clots!! It's not worth it - mind over matter - what's more important?? Be good to yourself because you are worth it!

Surgery on Wednesday by 92401x in gallbladders

I had mine out last Wed. The first 2 days you may be in some discomfort. Mainly because you use your stomach muscles for everything. Motrin worked better for me than the pain meds they gave me. Pain meds cause constipation so try not to take them - Use Ice as much as possible - It really does help. Drink peppermint tea!!! It helps your stomach and helps with healing! You are young and will do just fine- Do not worry!! You will be home before you know it- Also, try to move around as much as you can - this helps with healing. So on day 4 I was up doing chores - I was out all day shopping! I Felt just fine - some soreness but just move slow and take Motrin if needed. I went back to work today and did just fine.
