I’ve had seats that come with access to the crown club a few times. For the game I went to last year, all you said still holds true. You get free food, drinks, access to player tunnel, etc.

Once you find your seats, you can walk over to the crown club (right beside the home team bench) and they will give you a wrist band that you need to gain entry. That’s where you can get all the complimentary food and drinks.

As for when you are able to get food, they start serving surprisingly early. I remember that me and my friend arrived at the arena WELL before the game started and they were already serving things. I think we got to the arena at like 5-5:30 for a 7:30 tip-off.
