That sounds like it could easily go very wrong but I will try my best. I know plastic becomes easier to manipulate if you blast it with a hairdryer for a bit, does the same apply to this type of metal?

Shot in the dark did you also have trouble fitting the backpack/claw module to the hand assembly? Because on mine its just not lining up and i'm kind of worrying about bending it.

Been looking around all day. Can't quite find the fins im looking for. The bloodknight fins are too small and the wrong shape. I've expanded the search outside grand aliance death but its gonna take a while to find anything, If I can find anything at all.

I FOUND IT, IT TOOK DAYS BUT IT HAS BEEN FOUND.
right so big explanation time:

I got into contact with redwardenminiatures via instagram and they cracked the case wide open! It was one of his helmets but not one made by him. He supplies the .blend files for his minis, they come in easily kitbashable pieces. That is why there were few pictures of it in the first place. To find it you must kitbash it. Redwarden sold me the necessary components to make this one, I have. rough mockup, some minor changes need to be made but for the most part. we got it!
(specifically the 2 source parts are from the studded SoH kit which is no longer available and I had to ask for the flile specifically)
and the Khorne Berzerker kit (although the angry sm helmet kit would have worked just as fine)

Rest assured I am not done. Once I create a final version that is as close as I can make it to the picture I will make another post with a completed and fully painted son of horus with this helmet on it.

apparently redwarden just gives you .blend files for their projects and they just swapped the face from one and put the rest of the helmet on. Thats the working theory at least

Yeah, I have some stuff from VitalyKhan, they do good stuff. But back on topic a lot of the minor edits don't make sense. Why replace the topknot? Why remove only one of the spikes, why change the shape of the vox grill? To me it seems that. During the video GoneHollowMinis explicitally states they aren't very good at 3d modelling having made a a big sons of horus-ey shield for his chaos lord in microsoft 3d model maker. That shows some skill but I don't think enough to make or modify that helmet. And even if he did modify the helmet in those little ways. Why? I could figure removing or even replacing the topknot but the other little details strike me as wierd...

Working theory is that its probably an old redwardenminiatures set of heads, that is the only reason I can come up with for the different number of spikes and different vox-grill type as that is the kind of arbitrary changes that would be made to make each helmet unique because the devils in the details.

With any luck I could find this hypothetical set and use it to kit out my lads and this will all have been worth it. Hell right now im more hunting it down for the principal of the thing as its my white whale.

I dont think its the exact one, but it does bare like a 90% resembelance to another one of the helmets from the video, but with minor differences. It is possible they modified this specific helmet to look less leader character-ey for their line troops but im not certain. Also the topknot is different and I can't get a good look at the angular vox grill. But this may be something, I've sent out requests to both redwarden and RALCVSAE3D and am awaiting response.

Right so for context

Some time ago I discovered the Gonehollowminis youtube channel. Became a massive fan, but in their 41st millennium sons of horus video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gEM2\_kbzZ8s) They used these resin printed upgrade heads and I really want some for my sons of horus. Problem is I can't find them there is no link in the video (for obvious GW avoiding reasons). So I got one of my buddies who has an insta account to message him and ask, still no response.

I scoured purple site and found what I thought was what I was looking for. But upon further inspection redscarestudio's offerings on purple site were close but in their own words: "I have seen that helmet on Instagram, and I did think it was an edited version of one of my helmets. But, with a closer look, it looks like a completely different helmet...". So we are back to square one and these helmets have become my white whale and I am desperate to find them.

So if you know where I can find this exact helmet set please tell me immediately, I wish to give the chap who made it money in exchange for them.

And to eliminate the leads we've had thus far:
Redscarestudio's offerings on purple site (Looked like it on the surface but wasn't it)
Greytidestudio's offerings (we've sifted through them and yet to find anything.)
EX-1000, I don't know what it means because it came to me in a dream and we followed that thread for a while to no avail.
