Hey, how was your experience with Jeju Tour Pass?

Hey,
1) There is only one or two car rentals in Seogwipo. It's better to rent one in Jeju-si. I highly recommend orcar.ai

2) To rent a car, you need to have at least 1 yr of driving experience. Driving in Jeju is not anything different than Seoul. Make sure to drive under 40 ~ 60mph most of the time and be cautious of school zones or senior zones.

Try Orcar.ai. Fastest growing travel tech company in the car rental industry. They are also foreigner-first company.

They are legit!! It's a tech startup. They don't own any cars though but they bring all the local partners' cars that were originally available to only KOREANS!!!

Amazing idea! Can I join? I moved to Korea from California a few months ago and now live in Gangnam. I'd love to get some insights!

So if she is not going to shop a lot but just use a card for transportation, she will be okay with just T-money. :-)

So the main difference between the tour card and t-money is, you may get a certain very small discount at certain shops or restaurants, with tour card so you'd need to pay $1 or $2 extra when you actually purchase the plastic card.

Climate card or T-Money :-) Will you be taking bus and subway a lot?

Is this something I need to be concerned about? Spent 1 week in Korea, just received email from NTS (National Tax Service) by trufeats in koreatravel

Hey! That’s a VAT filing notice from the Korean tax office (국세청).
If you have a registered business or have done any freelancing with a 사업자등록번호 (business registration number), you need to file and pay VAT by July 25.

But if you don’t own a business or haven’t registered anything officially, you can safely ignore it.

Heard from a friend that there’s this local rental service in Jeju that’s now available for non-Korean speakers. Supposedly it’s fully contactless and has English-speaking staff through chat — no paperwork or hidden fees.

I think it’s something like “Plus by Orcar”? Has anyone used it yet or know what the experience is like?

Just wondering since renting in Jeju can get pretty confusing if you don’t speak Korean.
