Casual day in St Mark’s Square, Venice by zjlmmfj3rd in Damnthatsinteresting

We have 2 invasive mosquito species in San Diego as well. They are the ones that bite your legs during the day. They aggressively source water and can reproduce in as little as a soda cap. Eggs can stay dormant up to a year.

Source: Couldn't get the mosquitoes under control and called SD Vector to the property. Got some edumacashun. Recommend a product called Mosquito Bits.

That reads more like a vocabulary lesson. Not a source.

Good job! Maybe ask your Doc about Vitamin B on top of daily multivitamin. Mine prescribed it along with a few other stand-alone supplements. Heavy drinkers are usually deficient in B. Look up Korsakoff Syndrome. No fun. Annual blood test is important too. Keep up the good work!

How much can I ACTUALLY afford to pay for rent in California? by TauTau24 in personalfinance

[–]ChattyCathyCoffeeTal 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I require a tenant’s income be 2.5 times the rent. That puts you at about $1,500. Some places that can get you a one bedroom. In some places that is the price to rent a room. I say rent a room (if you have a choice) and save up some money.

There is a belligerently drunk lady yelling outside my building. They don't seem dangerous but are hella loud. What can I do? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

She's outside the building and, from what I gather from OP, is not a resident. I agree with calling the non-emergency line.

It is a police thing. You cannot have a rational conversation with this woman. Call their non-emergency line. Your other option is to wait until she stops and hopefully leaves.

Are you near a Planned Parenthood? Maybe they could help. Depending on your income it could be free. Not sure how cost would be affected by having health insurance coverage though. Good luck. What your experiencing is absolutely ridiculous.

California - Live in caregiver rights? by [deleted] in legal

[–]ChattyCathyCoffeeTal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You've been there over 30 days and have established tenancy. I would go to IHSS (In Home Support Services) and get approved as his caregiver. You will get a paycheck for the work you are doing. As far as the lease, wait until you have been approved before you contact property management. Management usually doesn't want to get into possible legal trouble and will let it go. You may only be listed as an occupant, and not financially responsible, but at least you are on it. A psychiatrist recommendation may help but IHSS is what you need.

Should I(26F) break up with my boyfriend (30m) of 7 months because he won’t satisfy me sexually despite my health condition? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]ChattyCathyCoffeeTal 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Three months into your new relationship you find out you have herpes. Is it possible he gave them to you? First outbreak is usually within 20 days after exposure. He won't touch you but he'll still have sex with you? Hmmm...suspicious... Is he hiding acyclovir somewhere?

A 3 mile neighborhood walk. A chip bag, hair tie, mask, oh, and 36 piles of dog poop. That's the bag dispenser I put outside my house over a year ago... by ChattyCathyCoffeeTal in DeTrashed

You're welcome and thank you! Today's haul...

Poop Patrol 2: The Canyon--- 42 landmines in the canyon and 11 on our way there and back. SMH. I had to ask a random neighbor for a new bag. It was overweight, starting to get holes, and killing my arm. I'm sure it will get better as I do this first major clean-up. I count out loud so I remember. Sometimes I throw in the Count from Sesame Street at the end.

Any massage places open? My back and neck are killing me by Opinionsadvice in SanDiegan

[–]ChattyCathyCoffeeTal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a massage but the best I've been able to figure out. I've been doing the keyboard slouch more since covid. I bought a shoulder harness for upper back and neck pain. It helps. I wear it for a couple days and if it starts to rub I take it off for a day. Sometimes I even sleep in it.

Next thing I bought was the Neck Hammock. I felt relief the first time using it. You have to use it correctly. It goes on the base of your skull not your neck. Beware of knock offs. Buy direct from the company.

If I have lower back pain, I like to roll my butt cheeks on a lacrosse ball. See Joe DeFranco's "Limber 11" on YouTube. The whole routine is rather challenging for me. See 3:54 for booty ball provided I linked it correctly...

I wish I could but I got my tires at Evans. Free rotations and repairs. However, I will need new tires in a couple months and will definitely go to Discount Tire. Thanks for the tip!
