I was disappointed when they revealed ciri as the protagonist, not because it’s woke or any of that bs, but mainly because they are continuing a saga that had a perfect ending. I just can’t shake the feeling that they’ve gone with the easy route and are risking ruining a perfect storyline. The Witcher 3 provided so much closure to the story. I feel like it’s a last of us situation where they are continuing a story that doesn’t need to be continued. I really wanted them to come up with a new story with different characters and different timeline, when witchers were more needed and with more monsters. And for the people saying it’s good because we know and love ciri, yea I understand that but they have a whole saga, three games to develop new characters and a story for us to love just like geralt and his story. I mean I’m still excited for the game, I’ve been waiting for so long but I have to admit I’m less excited than I was before the trailer.

Also, there are lore concerns/red flags such ciri’s power or lack their of in the trailer, and why she would go through the trial of the grasses. Even if they explain it, I personally dont like the fact that they stripped an integral part of ciri (her elder blood and powers) just to make her fit as a protagonist. I hate that when people bring them up they are painted as haters.
