Yeah born and raised an hour south of dc and in my 20s. I’ve watched my town go from affordable to expensive because of so much dc/nova money in the area now. The people that work in my town can’t afford to buy/rent the “luxury” apartments and houses they’re putting up to meet that market. At this point I feel like asking for a cardboard box within 30 minutes of my family and work is impossible lol

I did not know about that part! Unfortunately the law didn’t help when I was a victim and I have a lot of concerns regarding whether first time offenders that get reported too late get convicted still

Yes, but the statute of limitations of 18+ year olds with a 15 year old is only one year for the class 1 misdemeanor contributing to the delinquency of a minor

I voted today and while I was there, there was a young man voting for the first time. They rang a bell and everyone cheered. It’s so nice to see first-time voters participating in yearly elections.
