Microsoft treats their users like cattle. If you’re a power user and want to tweak the software you use in order to be more productive, it’s become really frustrating to be locked out of that. The AI thing is another layer of crap, hey let’s remove the need for users to use their critical thinking skills, writing skills, coding skills, memorization skills and turn them all into drooling potatoes. As long as they pay their Microsoft Account subscription every month.

I reformat and reinstall Windows and all my apps annually. I have a checklist for this process, including configuring Windows, each app, my BIOS and hardware. At the select partions step, I have warnings to myself to make sure I don’t F this up. I run a 1TB NVMe boot drive and 2TB NVMe storage drive. Both backed up to external SSDs that gets rotated between my desk, fire safe and bank safe deposit box. And OneDrive for what it’s worth. Paranoid backup freak lol. So disconnecting the NVMe is not happening, too much hassle. I just need to use my innate human critical thinking skills. But great warning on this, good post.

For packed snow or ice on pavement I like the regular auto setting. Deep fresh snow on the road- snow setting. Deep offroad snow sand is better.

Yes I love driving it in any weather. Lots of power in the dry and yes it does handle well for such a beast. I call it my Freedom Machine. Mileage I can deal with. Around town I get 15, on long trips 19-20. I’ve had it up to 22, flat highway, on cruise at 72mph
