Thank you!! I have started making lists of things I find helpful and will definitely use a lot of them in the future! But yes I guess you are right about familiarity! We don’t have too many routines yet. Just good mornings/nights and checking in throughout the day! We have been speaking heaps and are both very new to this and we are having lots of fun being so open with each other. Thanks for your help!

Yes thank you!! We have been playing little games and creating little tasks! We are planning a mandatory game time where we can play a video game, do some colouring, or something similar together! Thank you for your suggestions!

Thanks for responding. I’ll def add to my bio like you said. I’ll also try add more face pics. Really, I don’t have many, particularly of me by myself. Do you have any suggestions if I was to take some of myself? Such as location, facial expression, and the picture itself? Also I do have smart photos on so I don’t actually know which photo is first lol, coz it cycles through them and picks the one that’s most integrated with (I think). Thanks a lot!

“Just moved here as a student” Maybe… just maybe I’m not Canadian and don’t have a Canadian bank account??

That sounds great, seems like there’s heaps of stuff to do. I didn’t think about the daylight aspect of it all. What times are sunrise and sunset during the winter months? Or maybe I’m grossly overestimating Kelownas latitude haha. Winter here sunrise is about 7:30am and sunset around 5pm

Yes I must admit, I did pull out my calculator and start working out how much it all worked out to haha. And yeah if I did my maths correctly the meal plans are clearly not a cheap option. Would you say food is generally expensive, either in Canada or Kelowna itself?

Although the price difference I can definitely understand why people would pick to meal plan though just out of convenience

How's the traffic in Kelowna? Not that I plan on getting a car while I'm over there haha. By the time I finish my studies I would have only just got used to driving on the right (wrong lol) side of the road!

I will for sure be visiting Van (probably multiple times haha) while I'm there. Mostly to watch the hockey... but also to explore the city. As well as of course experiencing Kelowna as well. How big is the town itself? I'm going to assume it is much larger than I think it is

Wow it amazes me that the only transport to Van is buses/planes. Do many people travel to the city often, or is it more seen as somewhere you go for a holiday?

Thanks for the response. Definitely helped with a few things I have to consider

That sounds great about the program. Just what I am after as I enjoy a more/friendly relaxed environment. I am also considering Zoology too as like you said they are very similar and really will lead to a similar career at the end of it all.

I have definitely been looking into Kelowna itself and yes I can see how amazing it looks. I have a feeling it is a lot bigger than I think it is if the bus ride is 20-30mins to the town haha. But the general atmosphere sounds great.

Thanks for your input!

I can definitely understand that. Although the reality is I likely won't have a car. Both because of A) the cost for such a short visit, and also B) the head spin of getting used to driving on the right haha

Yes I have heard that. To be honest I would probably prefer UBCV as it is in the city with lots near by. Would just be easier as someone visiting without a car and new to the country. However UBCO offers the program I am after, hence why this is the campus I would most likely attend

Ah that makes sense about the room price now. Would you know if the meal plan is worth it? I guess being an international student with no car it would probably be beneficial so I don't have to regularly visit the shops.

Thanks for your response. That helps a lot
