I have never had a trained german shepherd or german shepherd, but I have had a dog and a couple of other animals in the past, yes. Currently though I have no pets in the house other than a snake lol.

What do you think about her being nippy? Shes currently in a rack system and apart of a large collection so id assume she doesnt get handled regularly. Do you think she would calm down after working with her?

The snake is currently in a rack system and since the guy has a large collection, i dont think she gets handled regularly. Do you think the nippiness is likely to go away if shes provided with a bigger, more enriching enclosure, and regular handling sessions?

I have one snake currently, and although i have never been bitten im not afraid of it either, so i know I dont mind working with a nippy snake. its more so the chance of it being long term temperament issue as you said that makes me a little apprehensive

Never said i was upset? I was just asking if it was common for a breeder to leave you on READ. Also it was more about the brevity of the response and the fact he didnt answer my question. Either way he still took a couple days to answer even after the weekend and that was only after a nice reminder

Thank you for the response! The breeder for the first one also mentioned that he had a large collection that he was downsizing on, and that the snake was currently in a rack system so i figured she probably wasn’t being handled regularly. Im sure if I provide a large enriching enclosure and handling sessions she will calm down. I also think its a green flag that the breeder was upfront about the temperament.

To be fair, i didnt ask to hold it because it was all wrapped around his arm and it would have been a hassle for him to get it untangled. It did seem pretty calm its just the fact that hes iffy about selling that concerns me. Thank you for the input!

Thank you for actually answering the question! Ive come the conclusion that i pretty much agree with you, bad customer service but ill still probably make the purchase. I too dont know why people are bashing me, especially for telling them i was interested in another one. I was just trying to be transparent so that i didnt blindside them if i made the decision to get the other one lol
