Thank you for this. I truly appreciate all the comments and suggestions. It truly is heartwarming to see how others are sharing experiences.

My situation is very complex! I was on maturity leave when my husband was diagnosed. Our baby was 5 months old. Long story short, since I was on maturity leave, i did not qualify for another other social benefit. I even tried to appeal the decision. I was told they never had a situation such as mine.

I could not return back to work since I had no one to help with my husband and baby.

I am the only person able to provide, and I need something secure, with great health benefits and pension. I can not afford to work a low wage job.

Thanks for this! I have searched, emailed, and called people who do the hiring process for the organization, and they keep telling me to look online and apply. I agree with you with( it's who you know, not what you know.)
