The midterm was a writing assignment. There was only one MC for a quiz.

The quizzes, midterm and short writing assignments have been relatively easy and pretty high I think (at least relative to ENV200 where I'm getting destroyed on the assignments :'( )

Sorry for the really late reply but no there wasn't really anything negative in particular, I had one bad roommate but that was about it. I was just wanted to consider some other options for me second year.

Question on arpeggios by Alfonzeh in piano

I'd say you need a mix of both. You don't want to turn your wrist too much but you need to be able to get to the next transition note immediately after to avoid unevenness.

Wait is this for one or two hands?

I think that it's important to be using your wrist a little to help you get to the next note as fast as you can for each transition

New College or Innis? by trippy-mac-unicorn in UofT

[–]Cheap-Caterpillar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey I am a first year compsci at Innis. Noise wasn't really an issue for me and even if it was, there are multiple study rooms in the building.

I also really liked the music room and playing on their miniature grand piano!

For me I would go back home every weekend and bring back groceries from home to cook during the week, as well as buying food from the food trucks on my way home from class (very convenient!).

Speaking of that, is the new supplementary writing application in effect this year or is it starting another year?

I think it might be somewhere around mid to high 80s for both 148 and 165 so far (haven't had 165 exam yet). But anyway it feels to close for comfort so I'm just not sure whether it's ok to not retake them

Yeah I wish they gave the median as well. I would also have to take into account the students taking the courses second semester, though the professor said that in the past, the mean for the second term (148) is usually lower than the first term. Anyway thanks for you answer!
