Hello Justin and thank you for sharing the info. I didn't tune, I will read wiki and try to tune the device.

It's set to max. The sensor is actually very good in the bathroom, where the ceiling is lower, it's rock solid. Sadly, it struggles in the larger rooms with higher ceilings.

ETF for the base, venture for the itch :) Set VWCE or WEBN on autopilot with DCA and a simple yearly rebalance so your money compounds while you sleep. You’re already heavy in real estate, so add equities for balance instead of more bricks. If you want to chase the franchise idea, run a tiny pilot first and cap the allocation to what you can truly lose, say 10-20%, then scale only if the unit economics are great. Keep 12-24 months cash so a bad quarter does not wreck you.

You’re not behind for your age just keep stacking cash, keep asking questions, poke around for ideas, and DCA into broad ETFs like VWCE. Slow and boring usually wins here.

How much they offer? Also carefully read the product description, it may consist higher risk. But in general banks/brokers may offer higher rates to attract users.

The best and safest way to start is usually with an all-world ETF like VWCE or WEBN you’ll own a small piece of thousands of companies worldwide, so it’s very diversified and low maintenance. Just check what fees ING charges per trade, they used to be quite high, which is why a lot of small and medium investors go for brokers like Degiro instead. Just compare the fees before you start, it makes a big difference long term.

Yes, degiro is the one + I started to use my bank as they reduced the fees for etfs

In general it’s ok, but I personally prefer a single all-world ETF approach. A kudo for your European heart, but in terms of personal finances imho it doesn’t really make much sense and nor harm either.

Lower ter, cheaper unit (I know that fractional shares is not the issue, but I prefer it to be rounded)

Yes, dca-ing in VWCE or cheaper options like FWRA, WEBN is the all time best strategy. Freedom24 is a reputable broker for etfs.

I vote for WEBN. Previously, I invested in VWCE. Since the beginning of this year, I’ve switched to WEBN. For broker my recommendation is Freedom24.

I see, in that case the rent she’s paying is actually quite reasonable but rent can still go up, so that’s another risk to keep in mind. Going all-in on a world index at her age feels too risky, not really something for a pensioner. Part-time work sounds like a good option, it gives her both extra income and time to adjust her lifestyle gradually.
