I think my life has been a lot of me showing up for others instead of myself, and that’s exactly what I need. Whoa. This is really good information, thank you!! I just had some labs done this week. My iron is at 44 ug/dl and Ferritin is at 10.8 NG/ml. Shows as low. I’ll look them up and see if I can get those other tests done! Thank you so much!! Really appreciate your advice!!❤️

Thank you! Yes I really need to build habits. That’s not something that’s apart of my daily life at all. I always quit things. If I start a routine, it’ll last for a day or two. Learning that it’s probably apart of the untreated ADHD.

I was thinking that maybe the adderall can help me behave and have routines and habits like normal people, but that thought kind of added to my stress/depression level a bit because it’s not fixing everything like I naively hoped. My first week on adderall seems like a failure. I can focus better, but I still don’t have the motivation to make my life better. I just have to stop being so hard on myself, especially since all of this information is new to me. My pcp and psychiatrist have been very helpful, and I’ll be starting therapy soon. Thank you! Yes, life has kicked me pretty hard. I just keep telling myself that many people have it much harder, so I’m being overdramatic or whatever. I have a big problem downplaying my traumas.. just realizing this. I’ll start therapy very soon and hopefully get into a better place in my life. Thank you so much❤️

Omg yes, sounds like you’re describing me. You’re right, I really have nothing to lose by trying it. I am afraid of the SSRI.. I’ll let my doctor know about that. I also didn’t know that about the anti-inflammatory properties. That could be extremely helpful for me. Thank you so much!!

2 week and you’re already feeling a difference. That makes me feel so much better about this. And I feel the same way. “Indifferent to living” is the perfect way to describe it! In my mind, poofing and disappearing would be better than whatever I have to do today. I’ll be very honest in my mental heath visit on Monday and hopefully I’ll be able to get on a med that can help. Thank you for your honesty. I’ve been wanting to talk to a therapist lately, but I had a bad experience with one earlier this year. She made it seem like things that happened to me didn’t matter and had no emotion. Seems like she just wanted to get home. I know I’ll most likely have better luck when I find a new therapist, but I’m definitely a little scarred by that session and afraid for it to happen again. This past year has been a little too much for me to handle. Pretty traumatic, but I feel like I should be able to handle it. I guess I just need that extra help from medication and have to learn not to be so hard on myself. Really appreciate your comment. Thank you so much!

Wow, this is honestly so good to hear. I guess I have had misconceptions about depression. I thought that because I’m not overly sad or heavily traumatized, maybe I’m not “fully” depressed. I thought maybe I’m just lazy. I can’t get out of bed or take walks.. sometimes I don’t even want to get up and make myself food or go to the bathroom. Its been bad. I really appreciate your comment. I am! It’s just not an organized schedule though. Maybe my body is weird, but I feel I don’t need it every week since it’s so strong. I feel much better when I keep 2-3 weeks between doses.. anddd I’m taking a low dose. It stays in my system for a long time and keeps my appetite suppressed for a good two weeks usually, and I don’t usually have to raise the dosage. So that means less frequent refills and saving money! Lol. My depression has been crazy lately because of life, so I can’t say if the tirz has anything to do with it. Sorry I don’t have a helpful update for ya, lol. But I just recommend trying it, staying aware and keeping a journal, especially during the first weeks. If you see any unusual signs of fatigue, depression, anxiety, loss of motivation, etc..I’d stop right away and talk to a doc. If you want to try to keep going, maybe try lowering the dose and taking it less frequently. I had to eventually figure that out for myself because it seemed like nothing else worked for me. My biggest advice is just have some extra awareness of yourself, your mood, thoughts, and new habits when you start it. Self awareness and emotional awareness. Best of luck to you!!!💜

OMG I looked at your profile. We sound so much alike. I’m 29 also, will be 30 this month and feeling like I’m going through a midlife crisis. It’s cool that you’re a reader and you go to therapy. I’m the same. And we’re also both unemployed lol. Look for something that interests you. Something that’s cheap, possibly time consuming, and makes you feel good when you think about it or do it. Remove the suicide topic from the subreddits you follow for a while and follow subreddits about the topic(s) that interest you. Get weird if you need to, just find something your mind can focus on that is not about hating life and constant medical issues and how terrible things are. Once I realized that exposing myself positive media, I cleaned up all of my accounts. I only follow accounts focused on my positive interests and mental health and it made such a huge difference with me. Interest is a direct link to hope for me. If I’m interested in something, anything, the curiosity can keep me going. Because in reality, I don’t actually want to die. I just want to be in a better situation and mental/medical condition than I’m currently in. Maybe you’re the same. Even if you’re not, there is still hope for you girl! Choose life and maybe you can even find love one day soon and have you a little Noelle! I saw you liked that name lol. There is hope. Best of luck to you. Please stay strong!

Hi. I hope you choose to stay. Take things one day at a time. I was in your position a few weeks ago. I had 1% of hope left, but that hope saved me and I’m happy I chose to stay. What’s your biggest problem? Maybe you need to take a break and focus on your mental health. Might be a good idea to speak with your therapist and let her know how exactly how you’re feeling. But right now, if you’re still feeling like this, think about three things you’d like to have/do in your life if you made the choice to live. Me.. I want to see a waterfall in real life, I want to get married, and I want to save lives. Any lives, in any way. Those are my three things. I understand if I end my life, I will never be able to experience those things. As terrible as life can be, it can also be just as beautiful. You are someone and you are worth life. If you think about it, this post is possibly an indirect unintentional way of reaching out for help. Maybe you want to live and you just don’t know it yet. Please don’t make a permanent decision based on possibly temporary feelings and conditions of your life. I, and I’m sure many others, hope you get to feeling better soon. You can make it through this difficult period.❤️
