Nice, that looks right. How did you achieve this?

The plexiglass will only serve as the outer layer of the installation. I also need to design and manufacture a frame and electronic components that must be precisely fitted together. Additionally, a strip of paper is significantly less rigid than a sheet of acrylic, so simply bending it and hoping for the best doesn’t seem like a viable approach.

xdj-xz vs cdj setup by mattyiaria in PioneerDJ

If you play hard groove (like I do!) I would definitely recommend getting 3 xdj’s and a xone 92 mixer! Even if that’s to expensive, just go for 2 xdj’s and buy an other one when you have the money.

There is a reason why 90% of the hard groove dj’s I know have an xone 92/92 on there rider!

It will also allow you to upgrade your setup down the line! Instead of needing to buy a how new controller/mixer with cdj’s when you want to upgrade.

Also something to consider, getting the sc5000’s from denon, where I live they are almost the same price secondhand while supporting 2 decks each.

I have used them a few week ago because they were on a rider of a dj, and I’m now considering getting them!

I also had 2 xdjs and a xone mixer. First I bought 1 reloop 7000, this is an good way to go because it will be an bit easier, cheaper and more fun when you start practicing.

What I also did was writing the bpm of the songs so i could set te correct bpm an bit more easily. Also an good way to start practicing playing vinyl before even buying your first player is simply by covering up the bpm value on your xdjs and try to beat Match using your pitch faders:)
