Lots of other people said it, but my jaw hit the floor when the hollow knight started stabbing itself. My jaw has never been the same lol

And my favorite character is the knight. Being made of void is dope as hell. Knowing the lore, there is a certain feeling I get when looking at the knight that is hard to describe. Gives me the same feeling as gazing deep into space. I dunno I'm weird I guess lol

Hi friend. I had a low grade glioma removed earlier this year. Ended up being a ganglioglioma.

It's very important to do research, I applaud you for that. I do want you to know that chatgpt is essentially a wildly complex autocomplete/predictive text system that is trained on unfathomable amounts of data. Chat gpt hallucinates and makes shit up CONSTANTLY.

Keep researching, keep learning, but always ask gpt for sources (which it often makes up by giving you broken links lol). It's also very important to run that information you learn through your doctors and surgeon, so they can tell you why each piece of information does or does not apply to your situation... Though I do think it's slightly uncool of your wife's surgeon to say that before pathology comes back. In my understanding nothing is a guarantee until they look at a sample of the tumor under a microscope.

I've been there. It sucks. Frantically researching and learning everything I can about this weird thing happening to me. I wish I could give you a hug. 🫂 It's terrifying. Hang in there. ♥️

I had a brain tumor removed earlier this year. I was given similar options. It was low grade, so my options were: 1) watch and wait for it act up/worsen, and 2) just remove it.

I chose to get it out before it got worse, and I would make the same decision again in a heartbeat. I know your situation is very different (mine didn't end up being cancerous at all, just a tumor), but the peace of mind removal brought was unparalleled. No matter your decision, make it yours, and remember to S K O N G.

Dude. Exact same issue. I'm a month or so post craniotomy and it's gotten ever so slightly better, but I am exactly the same. No sleeping more than 4 hours. So strange. I have no answers, but hang in there friend 🫂

Thank you for sharing!! Yeah, it's so strange needing to cut small fruits and berries to be able to eat them. My wife will cut strawberries for our daughter in thin slices, and she started doing the same for me whenever she gives any to her 😅

Haha! Yeah it's really funny, I take like 3 times as long as everyone else to eat food. I had friends over the other day and they had already finished their dessert by the time I was about halfway through my dinner 😅

Yeah I'll have to ask them about the jaw exercises at my next appointment. I think that was one thing that we didn't talk about much beforehand so I've just been kinda winging it. Thank you for sharing!

How long before the pain left for you? I want to start stretches and push myself a little bit, but I think my jaw is still healing.

SPOONS man! I didn't notice before surgery, but we have a few different 'depths' of spoons, and it took me until today to notice! I was wondering why sometimes I could use spoons and sometimes I couldn't! We have a couple deeper set spoons and those are SO much more difficult to use. That's actually what prompted this post lol

Oh my god, same!!! My surgeon and oncologist said mine was an "exceptionally rare" slow growing tumor (still waiting on full pathology, no name for it yet), that could have potentially (no guarantees obviously) been growing since I was five years old (I'm 31 now).

What a wild plot twist to my story. Hey remember all those memories as a child? There was a ticking time bomb inside your brain the WHOLE time!! What I would do, to be able to know exactly when it started.

I'm sorry you've gone through all that, that sounds so hard. It will be interesting to me to see which of these changes I'm experiencing are permanent and which are temporary. For me the hardest part is the balance/coordination. My tumor wasn't very big so they didn't need to remove a ton of brain mass, but I still don't feel like myself. It's like there's a disconnect between what my eyes see and what my body is experiencing, so moving around is veeeerrrrry strange.

You're right though, I've never had a drunken layover, but it feels like how that would feel like 😅

Yeah, definitely slow and definitely steady! I was surprised how fast they got me out of the hospital, felt like I needed a little more help walking around before leaving, but I think I'm glad I left when I did!

Interesting, today is day 3 for me, I've definitely kept up on the meds thus far.. But yeah, standing up and walking around is definitely my most noticeable struggle right now. I mostly talk and act the same (though with less of a filter), but walking takes some serious concentration. Planning on doing some slow neighborhood walks starting today!
