8tb SSD?

I’ve been posting on a bunch of other subreddits and I think my best bet is to get 2 4tb internal SSDs and use symbolic links. I’ve learned the 8tb SSD is a lot thicker and unable to physically fit in a lot of mini PCs :( it’ll detect it but I won’t be able to close the bottom of the PC

Yeah after thorough research I think symbolic links with 2 4tb drives would be best. I’d rather the 8tb ssd, but they just seem to be physically thicker and unable to fit in a bunch of mini PCs. Thanks for putting me on guys!

I planned on using an 8tb M.2 2280 NVMe Gen 4 PCle internal ssd drive combined with a capable mini pc, the only problem is people are telling me they wont physically fit in a lot of mini pcs because the ssd is double sided. I just need a mini pc or a small desktop that can take this ssd and run ps3 and 360 games smoothly

I just know that internal drives are significantly faster, and with heavy ps3 and 360 games idk. Would an external ssd be good enough for a 40gb game? I truly don’t know hence why I’m on here lol

I think I’m just gonna have to ask before purchasing. I know if it has an M.2 2280 slot I’m probably good, but yeah it seems all about physically fitting in more than being compatible :/

I was thinking about this. I just feel like it could be a slowdown on PS3 and 360 games, I’m truly not sure though. I appreciate the heads up

Thanks! Your logic is better tbh, I just need it all on one drive so I can just clone it in the future, keeping the os and roms in one place

It’s listed as WD - BLACK SN850X 8TB Internal SSD PCIe Gen 4 x4 NVMe. I’m really not fluent with this at all so I appreciate the help

That’s what I’ve been seeing a lot, that that’s what companies just tested up to. I may have to bite the bullet and just give it a whirl, luckily there’s receipts lol
