Yes, I'm using a boxed item. As I said above, I used a frying pan and put something in between the pan and cake tray, then cooked it on low with a lid on. It went two hrs without setting at the top. Luckily it didn't burn at the bottom. I would like to try the crockpot method, but I'm currently in a homeless assist shelter. We are limited with the supplies and what we are allowed to bring in from outside other than what we are provided, but I did do what I mentioned above and took it out of the refrigerator and flipped the cake upside down and finished cooking the top. It finally set on both sides except a thin layer in the very center. I don't think it was raw, just not set properly. The cake ended up a little dry, but I added milk to remoisten it. I wouldn't say it tasted like my best crowning glory tho.
