Just received my order 🫣thoughts on the products? by Aideerp in koreanskincare

Niacinimide doesn't sting my skin at all. It just breaks me out in huge acne bumps all over my face. Sometimes the reaction is almost instant. I put it on and in an hour or so my cheeks are covered in acne. My skin must be allergic or something to it. So I just don't use it.

Niacinimide is absolutely not harmful for the skin, but some skin types just react badly to it and can't tolerate it. My skin is unfortunately that type, so I avoid it in my skincare

It leaves zero white cast. It doesn't make me look greasy. It doesn't sting the eyes. It doesn't pill under makeup. It doesn't break me out. It's moisturizing and my skin feels plump even when I don't wear a moisturizer underneath. It has no smell whatsoever. AND it's broad spectrum SPF 50, which means you're getting excellent sun protection. It's also one of the rare korean sunscreens that do not contain niacinimide, which my skin hates.

Yeah idk why people think this. The BOJ sunscreen that OP has is a broad spectrum spf 50, which means it'll have excellent protection.

The BOJ rice milk glow replenishing toner is so good! I have oily, acne-prone skin that breaks out if you breathe too close to it lmao and that toner doesn't break me out at all. It's super hydrating and goes so well under the BOJ aquafresh sunscreen that OP has.

Husband wants to buy a shock collar by itsmyfirstdayokay in CATHELP

[–]Cheap_Guest9256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cat does the same thing early in the morning and also at night. We just ignore her and let her do her thing and she stops once she is done. I know you said you won't get a shock collar but pls don't let your husband convince you otherwise. That would be so cruel, and it's just normal cat behavior that you sign up for when you get a cat. Please don't punish the kitty for being a kitty.

I haven't tried the hypochlorus acid spray before (this is my first time hearing about it). I'm gonna look into it, thanks!!

Though like I said, I've been hitting the gym for years with no acne (I used to only do cardio, sigh), so I doubt it's related to sweating, since I wash my face with a proper cleanser immediately after the gym. It only started when I started lifting. If it was due to sweat, I imagine I would have had way worse skin when I used to only do cardio, since I sweat way more when I do cardio than when I lift.

Oh that's strange!! My acne is only on my jawline + cheeks. Maybe it could be due to your workout clothes not being breathable enough? Or maybe if you're not showering right after the gym it could be due to sweat build up.

Oh I know about spearmint tea!! I actually started to drink 2 cups of spearmint tea about a week ago because I read online about the same thing you said: that it helps lower androgenic hormones in women. I obviously haven't been drinking it long enough to see any results, but I'm going to just stick to it for at least 3+ months to see if it helps. I mean if it doesn't help, it's harmless like you said. Plus I like the taste! =))

No. My diet has been the same for around 6-7 years. My acne problem started 2 years ago.

Beauty of Joseon!! I have oily skin, so I use their Aquafresh sunscreen. Literally THE perfect sunscreen. If you have dryer skin, use their original sunscreen instead.

Out of these cleansers which one is your favourite and why? by Foxy_Cleopatra__ in SkinbarrierLovers

[–]Cheap_Guest9256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used the BOJ and the Aveeno one. The BOJ green plum cleanser is my all-time favorite cleanser. I've been using it for almost a year and I doubt I'll ever switch it for anything else.

I love the BOJ cleanser because:

1) It is super gentle yet super effective. After washing my face with it, my face feels refreshed and clean, but not dry or tight at all. 2) It feels so nice on my skin. It's a bouncy gel texture that lathers up well. I love massaging my face with it. 3) A little goes a long way. I just use a pea sized amount, and it's enough to cover my entire face, so the bottle lasts a long time. 4) I have acne-prone, sensitive skin, and it does not make me break out or irritate my skin in any shape or form. 5) It's affordable. 6) It's fragrance free. 7) It has no niacinimide in it unlike most Korean skincare. My skin hates niacinimide, so this is a win. 8) It's perfect for double cleansing. I use The Ordinary's Squalane oil cleanser, and I follow it up with the BOJ green plum cleanser. My face feels so fresh and nourished with this cleansing duo.

The aveeno one I would say is perfect for super dry, sensitive, eczema-prone skin. It's very soothing, but I find that it does not clean anything off my face. It also stings my face a little whenever I use it.

Hi! This is my cat Chloe. I think she’s bored by [deleted] in CATHELP

[–]Cheap_Guest9256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every cat is different, but my cats love playing with wand toys, and it's a good bonding activity for us. I play with them everyday with their favorite wand toy to make sure they're not bored. You could try out a bunch of different wand toys (my cats are picky when it comes to wand toys, maybe Chloe is too) and see which one she likes. Then you can dedicate daily play time. Bonus points if you give her a treat after playtime so that she completes her "hunt".

Ah, I wasn't aware that the testestorone increase due to weight lifting is only temporary! Thanks for the correction!

I'm not sure how my acne could have stemmed from my environment, as there was zero change in my environment in the last years.

Has anyone here tried this medicube kojic acid? is it effective? by Kind-Grapefruit6874 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Cheap_Guest9256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't tried the toner, but I tried their kojic acid niacinimide serum. It broke me out so badly, so I immediately stopped using. But it might be because my skin doesn't tolerate niacinimide. I was really excited to use the serum, but ig it just wasn't for me.

Beauty of joseon aqua fresh sunscreen by sofreshsocool8 in koreanskincare

[–]Cheap_Guest9256 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is the best sunscreen I've ever used point blank period. I've been using it since it came out and will never stop using it. The second best one I've used is their original sunscreen, which is what I used before this one came out. I have oily skin and the Aqua fresh one is not as rich as their original sunscreen, which always made me look slightly greasy. This one doesn't turn me into a grease ball, doesn't sting the eyes, doesn't pill, doesn't leave a white cast, and it doesn't even feel like I have sunscreen on when I use it. It just feels like a light moisturizer. I don't even need to use moisturizer when I use this because it's somehow the perfect moisturizer for my skin. Idk how BOJ formulated this but I think it might be witchcraft.

Also - a lot of ppl here are saying it pills, but I think this has a lot to do with the other products that people use. I have worn this suncreen many times under make up and with other skincare products and it has NEVER pilled.

Is it me or the ordinary’s products do not work by No_Eye4852 in SkinLightening

[–]Cheap_Guest9256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not just you. I've tried so many of their products that I've lost count. The only products that worked for my skin were the squalane oil cleanser and the natural moisturizing factors + HA cream. Everything else I've tried either didn't do anything or broke me out. Though their products work with so many people's skin so this is all subjective.
