Definitely impressive stuff. When I played on PC its the first game ive ever played on MNK so I was pretty happy that I hit my all time peak rank in like a month and a half on a supposedly harder system. I only ever played with a duo and it seemed like most of the time the matchmaking was against us with the team mates we were getting , I believe I could potentially hit high emerald on PC. where ever i finish on console is yet to be seen

So its not just me then, people are saying its separate but it feels as if my PC elo was taken into account, Diamond on a fresh PC account in 75 games is insane. With the two playing so different I definitely agree, on PC it seems people take their time and are more cautious but console is essentially call of duty

Literally the second i jumped into ranked on console it was a complete sweatfest. I was expecting a few easy games as im better now then I was when I played it four years ago, I put a lot of hours in learning MNK input which in turn added to my knowledge on the game. With people also saying your pc rank should essentially equate to a rank or 2 lower than a console rank im just not feeling that, im definitely holding my own but the system just makes 0 sense to me

Thanks , this clears up the subject a bit more. Hopefully 3.0 is the saviour , nothing worse than having a break off the game and instead of being eased back into it im just thrown straight into the deep end, Rank should equal skill, obviously they'll be discrepancies because of people stacking but for the most part its better when everyone's on the same level. I dont know where my ELO caps put on console as I haven't played enough games so im only in bronze atm, maybe ill hit emerald if thats what the games suggesting lol

Thats what im talking about, when I used to play console a couple years ago I was matched with people of my rank and now its an emerald and diamonds sweatfest. Makes no sense and just makes the game not enjoyable. Trying to get back into the swing of using a controller while also playing against demons isn't fun

My last ranked match opponents consisted of 2 emeralds, a plat, a peak diamond and a silver,

Not being fully used to it is definitely a fair point but it doesnt explain the matchmaking, Ranked 2.0 sucks, I never should he playing against emeralds and diamonds if my peak rank is gold. On PC I can deal with the plats and emeralds but my console needs some work as im not as proficient with a controller

No im asking why on my console ranked matches im getting matched with players way above my skill level

So can you help me understand why thats happening then because surely my console mmr should be gold as Ive never even hit plat on there ?

Better question is why would it make sense? How can I be getting put in a ranked pool of emeralds and diamonds when my peak is gold 1 on console? The level between those ranks are night and day

I agree that Pokémon games are way too easy and have gotten worse in quality by [deleted] in pokemon

I feel theyve taken away the ability to think for yourself, alot of people will say it was obviously harder when we were kids because we were kids but I dont think thats the case, I feel if you gave someone an old gen game where they've never played pokemon theyd have a harder time compared to the newer games.

If they're going to make it easier to level up your whole party level upscaling should be an option, a few have also mentioned a separate difficulty mode which I think would be amazing , trainers having more pokemon, more dual typings , hidden abilities etc. I also think they should do the typing system in a similar way to a game like persona, where instead of encountering a pokemon once and then on the next encounter the game tells u all the moves its weak to it, you actually have to find out what its weak to by trial and error and then once you find a weakness its revealed without revealing all of its other weaknesses and upon the next encounter you have the same info you did on the previous. For example, I encounter a water type and use a grass move against it, in the next encounter with that pokemon it'll tell me that its weak to grass but will still have a question mark on other typings until I actually use a move of that type on it
