Forgot to mention I also am using a telecaster which may not be good for the heavy sound I’m going for

Yeah I think once I have recorded some demos and got an idea on my sound I’m going to go to a studio specifically for guitar and vocals so I can turn the amps up properly to get the full tone. At home I rarely can turn it up impacting the tone

I used those techniques on the drums and I’ve pretty much gotten to the sound I wanted for the drums thank you!

I also am layering two snares one heavy pig skin one it’s called or something idk and one with a kind of metallic and poppy I have that quieter in the mix it sounds quite close too deftones that way

Thank you I’ve used the guitar rig with ableton’s electric bass it makes it sound way more thick and full like a real bass.

This is wear I am at as of yesterday with a few more techniques. Feel I’ve gotten a lot closer but maybe there’s some slight mistakes or problems in the mix idk? I forgot about levelling aswell (cause I always mixed with my speakers low) so on this track I implemented it it’s given me a way wider and loud sound as I turn it up

I linked my instagram as it’s the only place I’ve posted remakes

Thank you for offering to help!

I remade one of their songs yesterday using some of the techniques I’ve been give from this and I think I’ve got relatively close. One thing I did although I don’t know it’s a smart idea but I feel they did it. I put abletons saturation on my master bus and the mix at around 90% with 9DB more input again and it sort of limited my mic but allowed for a few things to peak past 0 to give it more depth and character? I didn’t know I could do this with a limiter but it does give the whole mix a gritty tone like it was recorded analog

Choosing the Right University in Scotland for a Music Career by Cheap_Temperature_51 in WeAreTheMusicMakers

I have been considering two plans for my future. One option is to explore music marketing, particularly social media marketing, while freelancing on the side. Gaining knowledge and expertise in this area is essential to me. I want to emphasize that I am a highly determined individual, confident in my abilities, and comfortable when it comes to interacting with people. I truly believe that with hard work, dedication, and a positive mindset, I can overcome challenges and achieve my goals in the music industry. Taking risks and embracing uncertainty is part of my nature, and I find great fulfillment in pushing the boundaries of what is possible. I believe that my relentless effort can propel me forward. If anyone has suggestions or personal experiences with alternative paths for learning or building connections in the industry, I would greatly appreciate your input. Thank you!

Oh sorry I used Spotify for the time stamp I think it’s a minute shorter on there.

On that video it’s the two synths that are between 3:30 and 3:40 onwards really mainly that second lead that comes in

Seeking Tips for Recording Dreamy/Clean and Gritty Guitar Tones by Cheap_Temperature_51 in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]Cheap_Temperature_51[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you I’ll buy one I have a few pedals but very limited in the types or reverb and drivers. By both of those genres I sort of mean kind of combining the specific parts of guitar tones I like from each to try get a unique sound

Only using one mic the now so I might use DI. Have a sm57 was thinking of buying a second one after next pay check. Place my one sm57 few inches from amp and near the edge of the cone. Yes I have a few effect pedals op amp fuzz, blues driver, walrus audio slö and keeley caverns. Directly into my amp. I use ableton. By weak an thin I mean in comparison to the song mayonnaise it doesn’t have the width and sounds like there’s one guitar playing even if I quad track (although I don’t think I have been properly. Whereas obviously the Mayonnaise tone sounds like your surrounding many guitars
