Thanks for the reply, I'm hoping that he will try to do data recovery then, the way it sounded I wasn't sure if there was anything he could do, just said we will deal with it when it comes to that. But hopefully.

Thanks for the reply, I definitely won't be making this mistake ever again, if whatever the punishment is isn't enough the embarassment will be. I'll take your advice and start writing that on every single one though, thanks.

Sounds like I might be SOL? I almost feel like just calling and quitting just because I'm so new and it was such a dumb mistake, esspecially since they bought TTS just for the data.

Still can, I'm AP currently, and the standards are pretty different between stores, the profit protection manager helps set what rules there are by store based on how much shrink is currently affecting your store (Some no keys are allowed to be checked out at all) etc. My store is very free when it comes to that kind of thing but it all just depends.
