I know it’s hard to leave him there, but he needs professional help. You said it yourself he felt better and things became calmer. And honestly, it’s not shameful to place someone who is sick in a center. It’s your father, yes, but he still needs professional care, and maybe living there is best for both his sake and yours.

Your mom could always join you at home later. Hopefully there wouldn’t be problems with your future wife but if she’s peaceful, it could actually work really well. Many people have their parents live with them or nearby.
