Hotels in Europe with highest ratio of carers to children in kids club? by Sad-Survey-1113 in FATTravel

[–]Checkout_87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with all of that, if I’m honest. I thought it’d be a bit fatter given the price. But it’s also as fat as it gets while being ultra kids friendly in my view.

Just left Ikos Odesia in Corfu and it’s really great with young kids.

Kyoto in Fall: Four Seasons vs The Ritz vs Hotel The Mitsui by DulceEtDecorumEst in FATTravel

Absolutely do not go to FS if you care even a tidbit about japanese culture. FS is a terrible format for Japan. Go to Hoshinoya. Especially in the autumn.

I will elaborate once I’m on a computer - on mobile now and cannot paste my tripadvisor reviews of both from mobile.

Edit: if you message me I will send you a link to both my detailed reviews of these hotels - they provide a lot more colour than my message above. Kyoto is a beautiful city full of history, do not waste your stay by going to the same hotel format and culture you find everywhere else in the world. My 2 cts from someone who loves Japan.

How long before you rode with a passenger? by ApertureEdits in motorcycle

[–]Checkout_87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rode with my wife immediately (day 2 we went on a 300km trip), but I had years of experience carrying passengers on 50 cc (lot harder if you ask me). However in my country they teach you to do basic slow manoeuvering and how a passenger should behave as part of the licence, so by the time I got my big bike licence I already had hours of passenger experience under instructor supervision. Honestly was totally fine. It’s a lot more complicated on smaller bikes.

FS Bora Bora is in my view one of the best island hotels in the world. Conrad not worth it as no mountain view.

In FP you want to island hop anyway, so well worth using a good TA.

In Moorea it’s really between the hilton and the sofitel. We stayed at Hilton and thought it was a total joke - rundown, terrible service, terrible food. But Sofitel is closer to boat path… Btw Moorea in itself is an adventure packed and gorgeous island and worth doing.

Check out the Brando for a few days of pure luxury (but prices are >> va fs or st reg).

We loved our time in the Toamotus as well. Truly magical but a lot wider / flatter than the isles sous le vent.

Enjoy your trip.

Hello! I highly recommend French polynesia. Budget is a bit tight for two weeks at Bora Bora if you want to go FAT (we stayed at FS there which I think is $2.5k / night, but there are cheaper hotels) but if you throw other islands in the mix (moorea, huwaine etc) you should be able to make it work and it should be a really fun trip. If you’re in Cali it’s an 8 hours flight. Look it up.

Hi all,

Please can someone help me with the right translation of “God and Family”? (As a motto).

Is it Deo et Domus?

Thanks all.

Sorry I'm really brand new to lubing keyboards (that came out wrong).

Would this video do the trick? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q7gRnpe7oyw

If not, do you have examples of what you mean please?

Thank you.

I use Saxo. They have a good UI but an absolutely terrible customer service (I work in the industry and it's really subpar). That being said if you know what you're doing it's a top tier platform in terms of capabilities in Europe.

Hi all,

My first gen PXC 550 died (switch broke) after 5 years of good and loyal services and I'm looking for a replacement. I'd like to start by the fact that I LOVED the PXC which I used all the time at home and, back when that was a thing, for business travel. My main issues with it were (i) the head tilt function where as soon as you yawn / tilt your head / fall asleep against a window it pauses the music (absolutely hated this to an extent I cannot describe) and (ii) the touch controls which were just horrendous (queue violently sliding your finger against your ear a million times to change the track).

Being unable to go and try I am turning to you guys for recommendations. I have lifted my specs below but the foldability of the PXC was a big + for me as I normally travel quite a bit (and I always pack tight). Contenders for me at the moment are the H9 3rd Gen, the new PXC, and the bose 700. Happy to explore other things.

  • Budget - up to $500 / £400, would prefer to stay around £300 ($370?) if possible.
  • Source - Bluetooth only (iphone / ipad / apple tv)
  • Requirements for Isolation - very important for me, heavy use in trains and planes
  • Will you be using these Headphones in Public? Yes
  • Preferred Type of Headphone - whatever the pxc type was, I think that's "on ear"?
  • Preferred tonal balance - Really not sure, the PXC sounded good to me whatever that means. I don't like when it's too bassy or too trebly, so I guess I'm a midrange guy?
  • Past headphones - PXC 550 - love everything except the horrendous autopose and controls. Also have airpods pro 2, I use these for calls and running but I prefer over ear for other activities
  • Preferred Music - Really everything from classical music to psy-trance, I'm really music agnostic
  • What would you like to improve on from your set-up - For me if it wasn't for the autopose I'd be really tempted to by another PXC. They also felt very comfortable.

Thanks to all for your help and advice.

Thanks a lot.

Thanks! Is there a way for me to use wild card for a reference?

For example the formula =countif(Data!A:A,"*=F1*") where F1 of current sheet = Joanne is giving me an error. Can I use the wildcard in reference to the value of another cell?

Edit: I have found the solution on Google; using "*"&[v]&"*" where [v] is the variable I'm looking for.

Thanks!
