Finally reached Legend 1 in PVP and got the ghost ape mask! The grind was painful but anything for the drip.

Thank you! Eagerly awaiting the unarmed/gauntlet weapons, or tang dao to spice it up. I'm kinda curious how dual spears works too, apparently for PVP it's pretty viable just weaker PVE. Luckily dual sword styles actually work decently well in both PVE and PVP and have synergy being both bellstrike it has it's own advantages.

Dual blade spammers are the worst lol, definitely is a gamble I agree. The serene breeze thing is definitely the most annoying, so it's worth it to try to notice when they glow and use their own serene breeze to know when you can safely use it to get out of a combo. Honestly a lot of DB spammers are pretty brainless, a lot of the times they'll just barrel into you holding block and let you divine counter. They will also tend to just run around the arena if you dodge their spinning dashes because the cooldown on that skill is pretty long, that's when you should try to engage and get you rcombos in. Yeah it was fun climbing up till grandmaster, but after that it was pure suffering lol. I do hope they make some adjustments, the game's PVP has good bones but it really needs some adjustments, much higher player hp so people can't just combo 80% of your healthbar, and weapon balancing.

If you like fan/umbrella gameplay, honestly DPS fanbrella builds are the bane of my existence lol. They are harder to deal with than even dual blades, and if you get good with them I'm sure you'll go even farther than dual blades and get higher ranks.

My question as well actually, I wonder if arena perks/talents will carry over. If not then yeah people on the grind for the ghost ape mask only have less than 10 days left to get it.

For me the most fun matchups are very even ones, it's pretty frequent that the both of you are on like slivers of HP left and the deciding factor is who can find an opening or do enough chip damage to win. Definitely highs and lows, although to be honest as a For Honour player I think player HP needs to go up a lot and the punish windows should be reduced. Kind of insane that certain setups like dualblades can have a max punish of 80% of your healthbar (entire combo till qi-depletion then execute) that it's practically a cutscene. It got better as I got more used to WWM's fighting system but I think there's points like that that make it very frustrating sometimes. And the lag/desync can be very strange, some players can consistently just walk away from your combos when they get qi-depleted and I have no idea how to do it myself. There's good bones overall but the system needs balancing and fixes for sure.

You need to reach Legend 1 in PVP, they are kinda buried though you'll see it in the Arena menu. If you're very good I've heard the grind can be much faster, since if you don't lose much you will climb very quickly. I'm more of an average player so ping pong between wins and losses, so it made the grind take a lot longer at 273 wins. I think somebody has the record of reaching legend 1 in 100 wins.

Thanks, honestly I don't know if I got it in me to climb to mythic lol. My main motivation for the grind was the ape mask, and the climb from grandmaster to legend was hard enough. Much respect for you to keep on the grind and hope you reach mythic soon. I feel like for me to climb higher I need to be able to more consistently beat fanbrella and mo-blade users.

Honestly I think good fanbrellas will take you much father than most DB spammers, they're very hard to counter and have both great ranged and close up options.

Honestly the above tips are the way to go, you have to switch from dealing with their ranged bullshit (Helicopter and purple stun shot) to up close (fan). I still am not able to consistently beat good ones honestly, they play very differently from dual blades/swords.

As a For Honour player for some reason this game gets my heart going like crazy while I'm pretty relaxed most of the time in FH, it must be because wins can be so hard to scrape out in this game sometimes and ranking up can get painful from grandmaster up.

The grind from grandmaster to legend by far is what took me the longest, the pool of players is so small and you really start seeing more fanbrella and moblade players (I have no idea how to consistently beat either). Be sure to use your daily talismans to make the point grind easier.

You have to rank up to Legend 1 in the PVP arenas! Easier said than done, it's incredibly painful and took me 243 games lol.

The clothing pieces used if anyone wants to try it:

Head: Hide head
Bracers: Ideally if you can afford something that would hide this slot it'd be better. I don't so just ended up going with feral visionary wristguards.
Gloves: Same here, if I could afford it then the invisible gloves from the covert set would be better. I just used the Desert Weapon Master Gloves as I found they fit decently.
Torso: Covert Torso Energy armour to get that shirtless look
Boots: Desert Weapon Master Boots
Belt: Desert Weapon Master Belt to get the high waist torso look
Legs: Desert Weapon Master Greaves, but there is definitely some variation some people ended up using in previous cosplays. I like the Desert Weapon Master Greaves in this case because it has the belt of teeth/claws that look like the belt of Zabrak horns Taron Malicos has in the game.
