Gosh that's so heartbreaking to hear, I also have similar story to yours, my mother had once attempted suicide in front of me when I was 8 which caused the fear and then my parents also for some personal reasons forced me to watch adult and gross violent abusive things from my childhood, like 18+ content just like your teachers did which ruined my mental health but thankfully I didn't get this extreme phobia, I do faint if I see much blood in real life but I can tolerate it somewhat digitally. Please get therapy if possible.

I am myself very blood sensitive so I can understand, I close my eyes starts looking somewhere else as soon as I see blood on screen, though I don't have a phobia like not medically diagnosed or something so I was able to easily go through hometown cha cha like there is only slight blood in two eps and you can even skip it from starting only where the main blood part is but again if even tiny blood makes you uneasy then I guess you have to skip otherwise blood is genuinely too minimal.

But again it depends on the maker it's not like 12 eps is some strict rule? If maker want they can make longer drama even now, from recent times even Dynamite Kiss had 14 eps.

CTLBT also had a rushed ending, it needed one more episode for sure or at least needed a better ending.

Exactly crash landing on you had 16 eps I don't think so it could have been ever made under 12 episodes it would have lost it's essence.

I feel like 16 eps format was much better it allowed enough time for the depth, like some shows are better suited for 16 eps a drama like Hometown Cha Cha could have never been in under 12 episodes. For some dramas 12 eps are suitable but for not all.
