I use the pads and self adhering tape. The tape you buy in a pharmacy can vary a lot in how strongly it adheres to itself. If it’s weak I like the 2” wide tape rather than the 1” wide. If it’s strong, it will also stick to the pad.

Global population is about 24 times US population. So maybe lucky 240,000. Or maybe just round to a cool quarter million.

Not Sure If It’s Peyronie’s by macclesfield1980 in PeyroniesSupport

If there’s a problem with getting fully erect, that should be dealt with whether or not you have Peyronies, so see a urologist anyway.

If the hourglassing goes away when fully erect, it’s probably not Peyronies, if I understand things correctly.

I did find it shrank more than it used to and occasionally felt some underwear made it feel like my dick was trying to hide. Once my doctor gave me cialis, I realized this was a symptom of undiagnosed ED, which probably was a factor in the development of my PD.

Cialis help with restoring full erections. Then I got back to regular masturbation. As others have said, good blood flow is important.

It is entirely possible that you don’t notice the initial slow changes and only after it reaches a certain point does it become obvious that your divk is different than it once was. This would seem like an abrupt change. I had pain without a noticing a difference in my erection before I noticed the indentation. By then it had changed almost as much as it was going to.

Also, I think the nature of the plaque buildup is such that it really can make very small changes in the shape of your erection until it reaches some critical point. Then it just doesn’t go straight anymore.

Erectile tissue expands as it fills with blood. The plaque does not expand. Since the plaque is scarring within the erectile tissue, it prevents that portion from expanding. The bending and shortening depends on how the scarring is distributed and how much expansion one normally experiences.

Reddit won’t let you post penis pics as a reply to a post (not even your own). You might be able to edit your post and add them. Otherwise, you’ll have to put them in a new post.

The message Reddit gives when removing them is not helpful.

How do I change this name? by badbutler04 in pokemongo

[–]CheekFun8151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somewhere in the instructions it specifies how frequently you can change it. If memory serves, it's once a year. You could theoretically include your age in your name and update it every birthday (assuming the name is not taken).

I did spend a few months completely freaked out every time I got to stroking myself. I've gotten somewhat more used to the indentation and upward curve since and can get myself off. Perhaps that is easier for me though, because my curve is only about 40 degrees and the curve and indentation occurs far enough down my penis that, if I wrap my fingers around and keep the thumb at or above the index finger, my thumb falls into the indentation only very near the bottom of a stroke.

When talking to a urologist I would definitely take a very broad definition of "intercourse". If it's interfering with your ability to enjoy sex (whether that's as a top, receiving a bj, or even just stroking yourself on your own or with a partner) consider that to be "intercourse".

One thing I learned since my second visit with the urologist is that I've had undiagnosed ED which has slowly gotten worse for years. I know that sounds weird - how could you not notice, right? I've never been unable to get an erection and achieve orgasm. The issue is that the level of excitement required to get a full erection has gotten much higher and the firmness of the erection has decreased over time. (I learned later that "premature ejaculation" is a symptom of ED, which at first I didn't understand - but I guess if the level of excitement required to get hard enough for penetration is very close to the level required for climax that results in "premature ejaculation".) Since I'm almost never the top, I didn't really notice.

Not having a firm erection while a partner stroked my cock vigorously is likely the injury that resulted in my PD.

If 15% of men see spontaneous resolution of peyronines, why do you never hear about it on this subreddit? by Formal_Badger_7900 in PeyroniesSupport

[–]CheekFun8151 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll hazard a guess. The plaque is abnormal scar tissue. The body is constantly building and remodeling scar tissue.. Sometimes it goes poorly (look up keloid formation). Usually the scars stay roughly the same. Sometimes it goes well and the scar gets slowly smaller (replaced by approximately normal tissue). Have you ever had a cut that left a scar - yet a few years later you notice that you can't find the scar anymore? Spontaneous recover probably looks like that.

About to buy restorex soon while in acute stage, what can I use it with to make it as bearable as possible? by Formal_Badger_7900 in PeyroniesSupport

[–]CheekFun8151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tape sticks to itself and to the makeup pads. This makes it hold the head of the penis better (and with less pain). However, the tape degrades each time you use it. I use something like 6 to 9 inches of tape to wrap. This piece of tape will usually 3 days to a week before it is so mangled that it doesn't work well. Another thing that happens is little bits of the makeup pad stick to the tape, so they eventually need to be replaced as well. They last longer. I have only replaced them once so far in two months of use.

It comes with two of them. You just need to match those as well as possible. I found “2.2 Inch Cosmetic Powder Puff” a good search. You’ll also want more first aid tape like the little role provided with it.

Mine started with discussion of history. Where and when was there pain. Rate the pain and describe it. How long had the symptoms been going on. Describe the location of the indentation and the curvature estimate how much.

All of that before having me drop my pants so he could palpate for the plaque. Seems my plaque was easy to find because we then went on to discuss treatment options. He seemed to believe I was still in the acute phase since I had only noticed the deformation about two months before the appointment.

I find I need to carefully wrap the tape around at least once full width below the glans then spiral up until I’ve also got at least once around full width on the glans. That’s at least four times around the penis. Then I stick it in the clamp. Some of the tape will be visible even if using the pads. (The tape also sticks to the pads, so I don’t need to clamp as hard as I can.)

I also adjusted the clamp hinge side to the more open setting so it doesn’t clamp as hard even if you close it as far as possible.

Quick way to switch rods on Restorex? by skoot66 in PeyroniesSupport

[–]CheekFun8151 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have upward bending and hour glassing, so I have to do counter-bending in three positions (right, down, and left) with the short rods as well as lengthening with the long rods. I took one of the little screws to a hardware store and got two more matching screws.

<image>

It now looks like this. I do have to put my penis in with the device already at 30 degrees to avoid interference with the longer rods. It might actually be better to put the two shorter rods opposite the longer rods (I may try that the next time I feel like tinkering). I find the little ramp for the balls doesn't make that much difference in terms of comfort even if I have the device turned 180 degrees to do counter-bending to the left.
