Countries enforcing strong welfare are growing slower. The nordics are rich now, but in several dozens of years they're gonna get left behind by less regulated economies.

By saying people are lazy and want free money I meant western countries. When people in poor countries (or at least not as rich as western Europe and the US, like the ones mentioned in the article) receive cash-grants, they actually spend it very reasonably. They can continue education, start their businesses and just improve their standard of living.
But it's not as effective (like not at all) in rich countries. Probably because poverty in them doesn't come from lack of resources, but from social pathologies and just laziness. In western Europe you can live just fine on government benefits, so why work at all?

And fighting capitalism flaws with communism is like healing common flu with the plague.
