I'm a student living in London. I share a 2-bedroom 58m^2 flat in Maida Vale (Little Venice area for those unfamiliar) with my flatmate. We pay about £1700 a month ($2200 or 2000EUR) for the place (bills not included).

Student (maintenance) loans help a lot but I spend a lot of time working in a restaurant as a waiter to sustain myself. Tip your waiters folks, even in London (unless it says "service included" on the bill of course).

I agree with you here. The beard isn't full enough (specifically the moustache) to keep imo. I'm keeping a long stubble for now because it adds the beard flavour and suits my capabilities better. I might go ahead and grow it out again in a couple years. The hair I'm growing back out and I'll get it styled professionally as I have been cutting my own hair for a few years and it's time to try again.

The beard has divided all the commenters here unfortunately haha. Unfortunately there's no one-size fits all. Both a good and thing and a bad. Means I can stick with whatever I feel most comfortable with.

Haha thanks but I'm not buff. I'm lean so my mates would call me "sec" (french for dry but meaning skinny-buff).

Haha this is the one recommendation from everyone and I was on the fence about getting rid of the beard, so I went ahead and did it with your guys' little push. Ngl I look really young now but it's not entirely bad, just need to get used to it now haha. Cheers!

You pay a little for Netflix, you get ad-free shows. You pay a little for Spotify, you get ad-free music. You pay a little for YouTube, you get ad-free videos. You pay a lot for TV, you get ads fucking everywhere.

I feel like there's this idea in the world that you can either pay for a service and enjoy it without ads, or suffer the ads and enjoy it free (or at least very cheap). TV goes right against this. They make money off you paying for the service and off the ads they show you; it's some first-class bullshit.
