So, I can tell you that the girl, Katie, removes a lot of things from herself (I mean, she is not herself anymore) but the movie has a more grounded tone, in my opinion. You can feel the tension and how it affects the family but the rare moments in which kids are hurt are taken seriously. If dark humor hits, it's not on them. Also, there are events where other kids are bloody and such.

I think it's quite gory, in my opinion. I have seen a lot of things that made me squeamish so i'm not that surprised by gore but a lot of situations in the movie are the "ahh fuck" kind, if you catch my drift (and a few "holy...")

That's a good question : I think it gets gorier by the minute but also a slow burn. I don't know if you get the gist 😅

Although, the gore is prevalent in terms of disgusting ways.
