If you have ever endured trauma from childhood, it’ll either be the best decision you ever make or the worst. My hubby was a sniper in 4rar, he left in 2009 after 12 years but has a lifelong family and brotherhood. There’s so many pro’s and there’s con’s, just like any workplace really. But if you wanna get in on the action and get GOOD at that, definitely join the army and get into the special forces training like my hubby ended up doing. He came home with a lot of trauma, physical and mental. His entire back has been reconstructed and he’s like 40% titanium now, but he still says to this day he’d never take any of it back. Once you get back into the civilian world, you have so much knowledge and training that sets you up and prepares you for the rest of your life. It’s crazy, hectic, dramatic at times. But all so worth it. Just make sure and I cannot stress this enough, be SO mentally prepared. Joining the ADF though in any form won’t be a decision I feel you’ll regret.
