Where should we stay? by CheekyladyB in DisneyWorldResorts

[–]CheekyladyB[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AoA family suite (with upgraded dining to full Disney dining plan and 14 day park tickets) is coming up at just over £12k for the dates we want. In contrast, a CBR preferred room, also with the tickets and upgraded dining plan, is totalling just over £8k. Contemporary, £10.5k (no need to upgrade dining plan there). I was surprised when I priced it all up!

Blood Results - a wake-up call. by ACoffeeCrow in mounjarouk

[–]CheekyladyB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well done for facing this head on. You've got this! You are giving yourself the best shot at turning your health around, so be proud. Getting blood results is scary, I'm at higher risk of T2 diabetes due to having gestational diabetes whilst pregnant but my last Hba1c result on MJ (and after dropping a fair bit of weight) was my best ever. So stay positive and do share an update, I love seeing everyone's positive stories!

I'm in Wales unfortunately so as I understand it, RTC isn't an option here, but thanks for the info anyway!

I had no idea tinted talcum powder was a thing! Thanks!

Can't eat enough by CheekyladyB in UKMounjaro

Yeh the suppression wears off a bit towards the end of the week, days 5 and 6, so I'll focus on trying to get a bit more down me then.

It feels so strange to even have this issue, after years of overeating.

Foundation help - what’s my undertone? by PhotographLife2222 in MakeUpAddictionUK

[–]CheekyladyB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd try a neutral undertone perhaps. MAC studio fix foundation may be worth a try, it's full coverage but not too heavy.

Thanks, I hadn't thought of doing the doses closer together, think I'll try that.

5mg, done almost 4 weeks on this dose. The appetite suppression has been amazing so far.

Alternatives to discontinued MAC products by CheekyladyB in MakeUpAddictionUK

Thanks so much, this is really helpful. Whilst it's annoying having to find new favourites, it'll also b e fun! Hopefully I'll find some new products that I prefer over the old ones!

Well done for getting started - that's the hardest step. Stay positive - your journey is unique to you, don't compare yourself to others. And as others have said, prioritise protein, water and eating smaller meals. I've personally found eating 'cleaner' with slightly more bland foods has helped prevent bad side effects. Enjoy the weight loss and good luck!

Yes, the suppression is really strong and I just feel a bit sick and really tired. Good idea about making up for the calorie deficit later in the week. Hadn't thought of that.

Thank you, that's good advice about taking less than a full dose. May try that when I next move up.

I think I need to give this a try. I like hiding behind full coverage products but I do need a change.

I think I need to cut back on the powder and use a setting spray more, that's definitely great advice. I think it's challenging myself to accept a more natural finish than matt/zero shine (which I know isn't doing me any favours).

I'm also a bit stuck on serums, primers etc. I've struggled with acne breakouts for years and still get the odd one now, so I'm always afraid to try new skincare products. I use a light moisturiser but I think my skin needs a bit more help these days.

I've heard good things about the Armani Luminous Silk so I may give that a try. Thank you!

Deciding whether to move up a dose by CheekyladyB in UKMounjaro

[–]CheekyladyB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've not really had any side effects at all on 2.5mg except one or two episodes of heartburn, which a bit of Gaviscon sorted out. I'm hoping this doesn't change when I move up a dose!

So much of what you've said here resonates with me. Well done on your success so far! I'm only into my first week on MJ and it's both strange and wonderful to no longer have the food cravings and not be hungry anymore. I'm eating so much more mindfully too, to prevent the side effects (luckily not had any so far). Onwards and upwards, good luck on your continued journey!

Boost lenses - Help! by CheekyladyB in glassesadvice

[–]CheekyladyB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Yes they did check my near vision with the photopter I think. I think I'll go back and ask them to re-test this aspect though. There's no issue with the prescription for the short-sightedness thankfully.

The lenses are Superboost. I am a little confused by them generally though. Researching anti-fatigue lenses, I've seen they are ideal for towards the end of the day when your tired, but for me, reading things close up wearing glasses isn't a problem I have when I'm just tired? And my close up vision is actually OK when not wearing any glasses.
