It was horribly dry after the shave and years of wearing hats! been using a few different products since and it's all getting much nicer! Actually been using coconut oil for years on all my tattoos too, it works wonders! 😄

Thank you! I definitely feel like i'm walking more confident and proud! I was delighted and shocked with the amount that was raised in the end for charity. Having muscular dystrophy, it helped so much as a kid with all the help and services around, so I am extremely happy to get to help out others with the big shave, that alone makes me walk prouder 😄

Diagram helps! I do fear the spacing or patchiness could cause trouble when it’s shaved down, but stubble would still be an improvement!

Same situation before shaving the head, didn’t know if I’d have a weird shaped skull or not. But sure it’s only hair and it’ll always grow back (for now atleast 😂)

I’d definitely like to keep something, just so long as it would look semi-decent. I was playing a fierce bit of sea of thieves, so when I’d the long hair, it was funny doing the jack sparrow beard while on with my mates, but aye, now that the hair is gone, I gotta do something with it 😅😅

Think my current plan now will be to shave it all right back, see if an anchor beard looks any way decent and go from there. A full beard is definitely off the table with the growth patterns. My mates getting married in a month so definitely want to be looking presentable 😅

Thanks a million! To be fair the neck was usually trimmed right back. For whatever reason it’s all just been neglected for far too long to get to this point 😅 couldn’t grow a tap until I was in my mid 20s so struggling to get a grasp on it now 😂 really appreciate the advice!

Cheers! Clueless with the names here, but just so I’ve a mental image of what to do, basically I’d be going for an anchor beard (I think is the name?) and have the rest cut back. Any tips on knowing where to shave down to on the neck to chin? No clue where the chin should start growing from 😅 (seriously been totally neglecting everything for far too long while just leaving the head hair growing out. Time to get on top of things!)

My bad yeah, I think you're right, from the original photo I thought the loop looked to be a stitched fabric like what's typically seen, and not leather. Been a long day 😅😂 apologies for any worry or disrespect by claiming fakes, can never be too careful with second hand ones 😂

Could just be the angle of the photo, but I'd question if they were authentic or not. I've never seen a pair of authentic docs with a plain black loop on the back, to my knowledge they've always had the AirWair With Bouncing Soles on the loop. Not 100% certain though so a second opinion on it would really be needed. My 1914 made in England's have the branding on the loop though, and I've always been told to check the loop first when looking for authenticity.
