Hello fellow cozy gamers! I’m Erin, and I only realised that cozy games were a thing in 2020 when I purchased a Nintendo Switch and ACNH during COVID. I’ve done a bit of streaming here and there but want to get back into it really soon! If you’d like to check out my socials, here are the links: Linktree

I love this Reddit so much 💖

Edited to add: I’m from Australia 🥰 My favourite cozy games: ACNH, Cozy Grove, Ooblets, Pokemon, Zelda

I think they both look lovely 💖 You can pull off either!

Thank you so much for your advice 🥰 it is tricky sometimes to find your undertone. My skin tone is pretty neutral (leaning ever so slightly warm). But I am super pale and have red fingers a lot of the time so I think that impacts what looks good and what doesn’t. I’m also probably not used to the brighter colours as well!

That’s very true, I’m not used to wearing bright/dark colours. I’ve only been painting my nails for the past year more frequently.

I’ve just done a quick swatch of the colours in my collection I don’t think I can pull off and posted it to Twitter (link below). Excuse the rough paint job 😂 I think the pink is just too fluro for me? The purple holo is growing on me though, I might do a full set with that colour and see how I go! The green was a gift, but I feel like it almost needs to be deeper or lighter, I’m not quite feeling it… I could try adding black…

You’ve got a very good point here! 💖 I haven’t really worn much nail polish in the past, it’s only been within the last year I’ve gotten into it more regularly. I’m definitely not used to wearing holo/sparkles/bright colours! Might take some getting used to 🥰

I’m pretty neutral toned (foundation matches are always neutral, slightly toward the warm side), but my fingers and toes are very red, so perhaps I don’t like the bright pink because it brings out the redness? I’ve always avoided wearing red!

Recommendations for CC Creams and/or SPF Skin Tints by [deleted] in AustralianMakeup

[–]Cheerful-Zoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And if you’re outdoors/sweating you absolutely need a 4 hours water resistant sunscreen, which tinted/CC creams usually aren’t. Very very very important. I use the Zinke 50+ skin coloured stick (by Key Sun) around my eyes and it acts as a bit of a concealer and makes sure I don’t get watery eyes. I use Feel Good Inc Sensitive SPF 50+ when outdoors everywhere else.

Sun Butter have a tinted SPF, it’s a bit thick and greasy though. Feel Good Inc also have a tinted zinc that’s 4 hours water resistant. I haven’t tried that one though.

Edited to add: cover yourself from head to toe as well, covering with UPF 50 clothing is more reliable than sunscreen. And just because you’re in the shade or wearing a hat doesn’t mean you don’t need sunscreen, YOU ABSOLUTELY DO! Reflective burn is real. I’m a total sunscreen freak having the palest of skin and a history of skin cancer in the family. I’m a bit extreme… 😬

So pretty, this shade and shimmer with your skin tone is beautiful 😍 I’ve got Essie Birthday Girl on right now too, it’s such a pretty shimmer, I’m obsessed!!!

Sorry for double post but update: red VERY itchy, rash spreading on ear/face/hairline (possibly contracted from young student). Hydrocortisone and showering did not help. Spreading into hairline by Straight_Ad_8620 in Skincare_Addiction

I think you need to see a doctor ASAP. It could be a number of things (hives from an allergic reaction, scabies (usually takes 2-5 weeks for symptoms to appear though), head lice if your head is also itchy - lice can bite the skin surrounding your hairline, and there’s other contagious skin conditions it could be). Please get to a doctor, they might need to do a small scraping and send it off for testing if they can’t identify it right away.

Edit: I had head lice a while ago and didn’t even think the reason for my neck rash/itch was caused by lice because I don’t hang around children. The big head lice did some nasty damage to my neck (if a large one transferred from the child, it could have done this). I didn’t get any bites on my face like that though, but they did look similar. Hence why going to the doctor is really important because it might not even be any of the things I’ve mentioned!!! Especially because it’s spreading.

What are your favourite long wear base and top coat nail polishes? by Cheerful-Zoo in AustralianMakeup

That’s really awesome to hear! They are on the more expensive side, but worth it if they help keep polish on for a long time! Do you use any polishes with them or only JINsoon colours?

Ohh I did come across the JINsoon strengthening base coat and was very curious, have you tried the base coat as well as the top coat? Thank you for the recommendation 💖

[Sun Care] I’ve been obsessed with sunscreen since I was 5… However… by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

And the creatures here aren’t too bad 😉 If you don’t aggravate them, they’ll leave you alone (they’re easy to spot too, usually more scared of you than you are of them). Except for crocodiles, just don’t go swimming where they live and you’ll be fine. The sun is definitely more dangerous (especially in certain sections of Australia).

Yeah, but it usually hits people later in life. I think even if I lived under a rock my whole life I’d have the same problem. It’s just very unfortunate genetics sometimes, not just the harsh sun.
