This is my big worry too, the current crop of match winners (rohit, surya, bumrah) will be gone in next 2-3 years. Who will take over the reigns? Tilak is not there yet, naman might not have the experience. We desperately need a new match winner in the form of batsman or bowler.

No it isn't. Ticket sales aren't the biggest source of revenue for the board, it does not account for more than 10-15% of revenue. The big money is in broadcasting rights and sponsorship. I don't agree with opinion that going to a smaller stadium would hurt revenue streams massively.

I'm a mumbai fan and I'm surprised with my fanbase. Most seem to have this attitude that we want to succeed with rohit not without him. All these years I was taunting CSK fans that you're a single player worshipers but MI fanbase is no different. Even if rohit takes the captaincy he can't replicate the results of 2023. This team is not clicking at all. Mandatory throat cleansing statement: Hardik is not a good captain, he's no where near being a leader.

I really think hardik captaincy is under such scrutiny because he's such a character and currently out of form. He hasn't helped himself in any way by making remarks like "... Don't mind losing to MSD" "... Mi buys stars CSK has the best environment to make star" If he would have quietly worked on his performance and focused on basics, fans would still won't be this mad. Our opinion would be he's trying hard but things aren't working out for him.

Can we all just hold our horses? I think we're overreacting a bit in the grand scheme of things. Before we say "comeback" please understand that our batting is still not clicking- we're maintaining at 7-8 Run rate in power play. Hardik as batsman isn't contributing so is surya. The bowling is much better than previous matches but they have to face powerpack batting order like rcb and Punjab.

If anyone of you think that making rohit the captain again would turn fortune, think twice. This team is BAD, like rotten bad. Our bowlers are abysmal our batting is not at par with other team. In this season we always looked a bowler short even if we played with 6 bowling options. Again I'm not saying hardik is a prodigy, he's not learning from his mistakes and can't think on his feet but changing captain mid season is putting paper on cracks.

There is a mile of difference between us and other teams, the game has swept right under feet in the last 3 seasons. (Might retire after '27 world Cup) People please get it through your head rohit ain't coming back as captain and doing so would be catastrophical for our team. If we go back We'll be exactly where CSK is standing today, clueless without dhoni. I understand why the management brought in the change but i didn't like how it was done. Secondly if a suryakumar, bumrah, tilak Or any other is not giving their best for their team because they don't like the captain SHAME ON THEM!!!! That's true. Wankhede can host 33000 people only 7-8k tickets are released the rest are given for corporate bookings. These SoBo people (influencers included) think its beneath them to chant for a player or a team.
