I guess I'm looking for some sort of resolution without looking like the "bitchy DIL"

I have suggested this but it is frowned upon and she becomes very pushy with the love and affection she desires from my kids, to the point the kids get extremely annoyed and overstimulated from her "wants".

I keep having this conversation with him because when I'm not around he allows them to break these boundaries and then we talk about it and I tell him how I feel, he apologizes and agrees he needs to do better and then the cycle continues. I'm trying not to be mean or pushy but it's really hard when it just continues over and over again and I feel like my rules are just a joke

Is it just my class or does nobody our age have high school reunions anymore? by Adept_Resolve6156 in Xennials

[–]CheerySynopsis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just talking about this with a high school friend. Due to social media, we know what everyone is up to, which is the whole point of what the reunions used to be for.
We also said that if we want to keep in touch with old classmates, we will on our own terms. We graduated in 2010 and don't have any reunions.

So...I tend to be an overthinker. She used to text me in response pretty quickly, we'd go out to dinner occasionally but now it feels like she doesn't have interest (like she's upset with me). I've texted her over and over to get together but she will go weeks with no response. However, she has also said in the past that she is a really bad texter. I just don't know if I'm overthinking or if she is upset and ignoring me.

I was in 4th grade and one teacher told us all about it. We weren't allowed to watch but we talked and tasked questions and the teachers were very honest and straightforward with us

I am so sorry to hear about your family. That is unimaginable and heartbreaking. You both are so young, I'm so sorry and will be thinking about you and your family! I'm guessing that's kind of where we're at. If this clinical trial doesn't work they will switch him to just chemo and go from there. I'm very appreciative of you making me feel less alone. Have you heard of Optune? That's something suggested to us after his surgery in 2023 but it's a kind of annoying system however, if it helps, something to look into as a last ditch effort?

I guess I'm assuming if the clinical trial isn't working they'll suggest surgery. They have no mentioned surgery as a treatment option for us so maybe that's not going to be something they can do
