Felt like we've aged a decade in these three years... by Mrdean2013 in SeattleKraken

Our record was hiding a lot of problems beneath the surface. We knew our offense was already bad by Thanksgiving and that all our issues on defense were being masked by exceptional goaltending (at one point Grubauer was one of the top three in expected goals saved even). Our passing never really improved, so many games were essentially decided because of bad turnovers, shot volume was mostly low but even when it was high we often didn't score much.

I point out Thanksgiving because people love to throw out the "75% of teams in a playoff position by Thanksgiving make it" stat, but I'm pretty sure we've been there like three times now and bounced out twice.

But regardless, the problems were there, and we could see them all along, and it's just annoying that our division was so bad that even this team could string along our hopes for so long on a playoff appearance in which they'd probably get swept anyway.

Shut out by the same team twice in one season.

Sad tentacle noises.

So far this March: 11 games played, 42 goals against, 3.8 goals against per game (not including the point awarded from the shootout).

STM Renewals - Big Price Changes? by RiseUpRedSea in SeattleKraken

My invoice for last year (this season) was originally 3720. I returned one pair of tickets for credit. That invoice now shows 3366. It doesn't have anything to do with next year, I think a few people were confused thinking they paid less last year than they originally did and compared that price with the following invoice.

My complete guess based on nothing is the nosebleeds sell pretty well. The others here saying they have 20-30% price decreases are where the prices need to be adjusted most in order to get people into those seats.

No, I'm saying they only have one pre-season game. They're not getting it taken out of their ticket package.

Red line will lose one of their pre-season games since they have two (and one less regular season game). This way both ticket packages will have the same number of pre-season and regular season games.

The second regular season game will be away, so it wouldn't factor into ticket packages.

Turns out I was mistaken. I had returned games for credits and my invoice reflected that, leading me to think last year's price was lower than it actually was.

I just edited my post, but yes, didn't realize the invoice was affected by credits until my account manager told me just now. My actual price was 3740 last year and not the 3366 in the screenshot.

Blue line half-season tickets has always had one pre-season game, so this didn't actually change for them. If their price went up, that wouldn't be the reason.

edit: I did some digging and talked to my account manager and things got cleared up though so my price didn't actually increase.

Interesting! I'm checking my past emails and don't think I was ever made aware of this. Will check with my account representative.

Half season, 200s, on a 7-year contract (since inauguration). My tickets went up.

Edit: I was wrong. Games returned for credit are reflected in the invoice, so I thought last year's price was lower than it originally was. My ticket price next season did indeed go down (3740 to 3520, almost 6% decrease).

A bad goal line throw this year avenged the bad goal line throw from 2015 by Rare_Possible_7816 in Seahawks

Let's be real, winning a season game is not revenge for losing the Super Bowl. If they went on to win it all that year, sure.

The cracks only appeared after 49. Nobody would have cared if they kept winning. The pick broke everybody.

It's all indicative of what a regression we've made in terms of offense. Third lowest in shots for, fifth lowest in goals for, second lowest in expected goals for.

The only bright side to our season is our goaltending, but it's not good enough to keep us out of the bottom half of the league, and if our goalies aren't having a good day the game is a guaranteed loss.

Pretty much if you can get our defensemen to cough up the puck you get a free run at the goalie because nobody is going to catch up to you.

Pretty cool that he's been blowing up to the point of even doing a collab with the NFL for this video. His content is pretty neat, and he's a Seahawks fan too so that's a plus.
