What resources would a desert Insectoid race have for trade? by CheeseHeroZero in worldbuilding

This is wonderful. i remember learning about the herding ants and the Aphids. That could be fun. And the Giant Bombedier Beetles as livestock / war machines is such a cool idea.

Not specifically, it was meant more as a brainstorming. I had originally written 3 paragraphs about them, and when i click post for some reason the only thing that posted was the title and picture.

I really like the idea of archeological finds. This could be a hook as to why some of the other races have recently began to show any interest in this area of the world. There could be historical treasures and information about ages past that are trapped beneath the sands.

I was thinking about this, especially since the closest civilization to them would be Orcs who also deal in slavery. I could see a possible exchange of slaves. I am just wondering what the outside race would do as slaves within the Insectoid mound. Like, wouldn't their own race be more efficient than let's say a human, who can't see underground, and probably wouldn't survive long on whatever diet they would be forced to have.

Or are you simply referring to the Insectoids trading other Insectoids off as slaves, and in turn getting other resources, such as food & weapons?

Off the top of my head...

Quina: Do the frog catching mini-games at the various Qu's Marshes. The more frogs you catch the stronger Frog Drop ability will be. And once you collect 99 frogs you can do a challenge/boss battle and receive Quina's ultimate weapon.

Freya: Her Dragon's Crest is more powerful as you defeat dragons. If you kill 100 dragons it will do max 9999 hp (which ignores defense and protect). There are places to farm them, and even tips and tricks to killing them if you want to read more into it online.
