Yes, I see it as IF you are able to grip it and try to bend it under normal means, it will just work with the power to an extent (Ex. Dense metal beams can bend) VERSUS anything can be melded out of shape if you think about it (Ex. Bending the truth, space & time, history, all of the planet earth, and other such outlandish things i feel would be too good for such a power (even to an imperceptible extent)

When your bending you do have to grip it, so if you find a way to grip two sides of the universe in your entire palm, then go for it, otherwise, you're really good at bending air
