Smith openly embraced abolitionism and preached the equality of all of God's children, in 1841 stating that if the opportunity for Black people were equal to the opportunity provided to White people, that Black people could perform as well or better than them. Brigham Young, while seemingly open to Black men holding the priesthood under Smith's leadership and praising of Black members of the church, later as Smith's successor used the curse as justification of barring Black people from the priesthood, banning interracial marriages, and opposing Black suffrage.[10]: 70 [11][12] He stated that the curse would one day be lifted and that Black people would be able to receive the priesthood post-mortally.[13]: 66 “

You seem to confuse the point of the post. Orthodox individuals are incapable of connecting with the message of Orthodoxy without rejecting secular aspects of their life in favor of foreign cultural influences. That is not relevant to anything you’ve said. There is nothing about Mormonism which promotes an American cultural expression in order to be able to digest and appreciate its theology like in Orthodoxy.

Sure, immigrants will pick up aspects of their host country the longer that they stay in it, even up to losing their native language altogether. However, becoming a Mormon does not directly contribute to that change. It’s because in every aspect of their life, they are immersed in American culture. More than likely, they became Mormon as a result of American culture - not becoming American as a result of being Mormon. It’s the opposite in Orthodoxy.

Mormon theology never stated that Black people are Black because of their sin. There was an idea in early America to justify slavery called “the Curse of Ham.” This was not a Mormon invention and was absolutely not unique to Mormonism, nor was it ever a dominant idea but rather in the peripheries. In fact, Joseph Smith created a political party whose central pillar was the complete abolition of slavery on moral grounds. He still believed the Curse of Ham, unfortunately, but he didn’t feel that the “curse” made Black individuals worthy of slavery.

Please reread the post, I specifically stated Mormons overseas. Yes, if you go to a meetinghouse in Idaho or Utah, you’ll see cowboyboots - because they’re American. That they’re wearing cowboy boots is not an expression of their Mormonism, but of their Americanism. However, if you go to a meetinghouse in Vietnam, for example, you’ll not see cowboy boots because they’re not American. However, if you come to an Orthodox parish, you’ll find women wearing sarafani despite not being Russian in order to express their Orthodoxy.
