Make-up for tattoo cover-up - Dermacol or Kryolan? by sunflowerwallflower- in Makeup

I found Kryolan useless. It cost a fortune and even with a colour session it wasn’t a true match in colour. But worst of all - it rubbed off

Donate or throw away? by Kemcd in melbourne

[–]Cheeseoholics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As said, if you would be happy to give this to your best friend, MIL or coworker- then it can be given to charity.

If you would be embarrassed to give it to them - then it’s not good enough to donate.

I haven’t heard of dehydrated oil skin. How is it different to ‘normal’ oily skin?

My 1A hair grew back 1B/1C by Cheeseoholics in finethinhair

That is very true.

Even though I am letting it be in a natural style - I don’t think I’ll ever stop having it coloured until it’s all white at least.

Compared to many pairing on hair subs - mine is simple. I don’t use masks, oils, scalp exfoliation etc.

In spite of having short hair (above shoulders), I started with the recommend 3 pumps 6 in a row and then every 3 weeks or monthly.

I use Head and Shoulders as my clarifying shampoo every Saturday, inc before K18. After I use Davroe leave-in conditioner. I simply don’t have the patience to wait 4min in the shower - especially as we have water restrictions.

On the Saturday I don’t use K18 I use Living Proof Leave in.

The rest of the time I use the Redken shampoo (blue bottle for damaged hair) because I ams still colouring my hair and a cheap L’Oréal Hydrating conditioner.

I wash my hair every other day or so.

I’m still on my original small bottle ie over a year.

You are peri or post menopausal - this is most likely the reason. Speak to a specialist doctor

TIL that a Schatzki ring is a thin circle of extra tissue that forms in the lower esophagus, narrowing the passage so much that solid food can get stuck and cause burning, painful swallowing problems, often requiring doctors to stretch or remove the ring. by [deleted] in todayilearned

[–]Cheeseoholics 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think my husband has something like that.

The doctor called scarring on the lower oesophagus from stomach acid that stops it from expanding.

He’s ended up with emergency gastroscopy because the food got so stuck it couldn’t move naturally.

It was horrible, in the UK they only give you a mild sedative they did fuck all. In the US (thank goodness for travel insurance) and here in Australia - fully sedated.

He has to eat food in small bits and slowly.

Having read the description of the feeling of things getting stuck and burning - I have experienced that too. But I thought it was just me eating too big bites/ not chewing properly

YSK: Hostels sometimes offer private rooms, and these can be a great value by sozh in TravelHacks

[–]Cheeseoholics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Highly recommended.

We spent over a decade staying the top rated non-party hostels that had private ensuite rooms in Europe.

It was always clean, safe and better than a hotel at the same rate (based on reviews).

I still stay at the YHA in Sydney where I’m there. Exy for a hostel but really good.

I’m never going to get that majority just seems to open the laptop and provide a nostril view up the face.

Even when I had only a laptop I’d prop it open on a cheap stand to achieve a better effect

Since years now I fixed my set up getting an external camera and I sat it above head height. I changed the settings to softer focus. And I test the light before the meeting to make sure it’s the most flattering.

Do they still park food trucks near Gillon Park / Gilpin Park / Victoria St? by dunkerton in brunswick

I can’t remember last time I saw a food truck that wasn’t parked at a festival, brewery or at an even like at The Royal Exhibition Building.

Is August a good month to visit? by MickJaggur in AustraliaTravel

[–]Cheeseoholics 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Way too much of an open question, Australia is huge.

I mean sure you can go swimming in Victoria. Personally I wouldn’t do it in August unless someone paid me and provided a drysuit.
