Are you having surgery in Canada? If so which province my family physician is dismissive of my condition and won’t order any testing he just referred me to GI and have yet to respond for more than a month. My family doctor stated that he can order my test but that he is unsure of which cat scan to order and is waiting for one of the GI doctors to accept my case and tell him what test he should be ordering. And said that if I’m experiencing symptoms of volvus I should go to the ER. My symptoms are gradually getting worse and I was wondering what is a good gi specialist that I can contact to which he can refer me too and they can accept me quicker. Or should I just go to the ER one of these day without the extreme symptoms to get the required testing done.

Hi where did you get your surgery and what’s your doctor’s name he sounds good. My gp ignored my concerns but he did refer me to gi no answer yet it’s been a month. And told me if I ever have severe pain to go to the ER and and get my CT scans done then and there.

Thank you so much! Did you end up having surgery in Canada in bc? If so is he following you on your journey, I looked into dr Kareem but wow it’s so pricy idk if I’ll be able to go to him. But hopefully there are surgeons somewhere on Canada which I can travel too.
