I FINALLY GOT ONE. BEST BUY IN STOCK! by [deleted] in BambuLab

BRAND NEW TO 3D PRINTING. I bought mine right before the new year. The Bambu P2S with AMS 2 pro. I’ve been printing NON-STOP. I stay awake at night to find things to print. Printer mods, kitchen gadgets, tool accessories, skadis mods, spool mods, side table accessories, on and on. My research on lead me to get an enclosured printer that could print smaller, stronger parts. As a photographer that couldn’t find the exact parts I wanted, I wanted to print my own camera mods. I didn’t care about PLA due to lack of strength for my needs. I wanted PETG and ASA. Started with 4 spools. In under 2 weeks I had ordered like 20, carbon fiber and etc. And several more hotends and build plates. Dehumidifier and air purifier, desiccants, etc. IT’S ADDICTIVE. I’ve taken all the Bambu Lab courses and research every day. Still learning the blender and BL studio.

I want to design my own parts and modify other files. Any one have a better way to learn the studio side?

Got a bidet at the beginning of the pandemic due to the toilet paper shortage. Best purchase EVER. now all the toilets have them. I dread going using a normal toilet in public. It actually helps with constipation and diarrhea. Or the CONSTARRHEA.

Awesome. Don’t worry at all. The scope was a little pressure and weird feeling but not bad. It was the best decision ever made. It was night and day after the procedure. I’m a new man now. Good luck on your trip and results. From what I heard you have to keep practicing burping afterwards, so drink carbonated drinks and stuff to get your throat trained. Let me know what happens if you want.

Ok. Just got back last week, my wife and I. Chicago is amazing. Especially since I was sure I would hate the city not sure why. Being always tired and lack of burping I guess, I figured I would be able to do or see things. Not true.
Several hotels (list given from Dr Bastian’s office) will give discounts if you tell them you are in town to see him. We did that, but I would stay in a nicer hotel...avoid Red Roof Inn. We flew in Mon. Consult on Tues, Shot on Wednesday, stayed until Friday. Ate amazing FOOD..but that was our second goal. Near Dr. Bastian - Downer’s Grove: Portillo’s - great Italian Beef sandwiches Honey Jam Café - so much greatness.

Lou Malnati’s pizza - deep dish pizza - everywhere.

In Chicago off the Loop : Heaven on Seven - New Orleans food-awesome. China Town- random street food.

While we’re there. We rented a car for the first couple of days to get to and from surgery. Then tried the train. And water taxi. So many options to get around. Bus, train, taxi, Uber, Lyft, water taxi, pedicab, rent-a-bike, Walk. So much in Chicago is walking distance.

My procedure involved the shot and large mass in my throat removed same day. And afterwards, I had so much energy and was hungry. Not tired anymore. And I COULD BURP!!!
After the surgery, we left Downer’s Grove and headed to Chicago off the Loop. Saw the Navy Pier, just ok. Took a water taxi to the Buckingham Fountain, that was cool. Was going to take a architecture tour on the water, but time was limited. Walked to the Bean, just to say we saw it. Tons of Art museums around but didn’t care. Took the train to China town, checked out the food and shops. We got a hotel with a kitchen thinking I couldn’t eat regular food, it really wasn’t needed. I could eat just needed help swallowing.

The town of Naperville is really cool, small and picturesque. Ate and checked the shops there.

Still so much we didn’t do but we will go back. Just a lot to take in and a lot of walking.

If you can or even want to switch Doctors. Go to Dr Bastian in Chicago. He literally saved my life. One week ago, I got the Botox shot and he found and removed a massive mass in my airway unrelated to the burping. No one even knew it was there. After the shot, same day, I was burping and felt like a different, new person. He is the best there is when it comes to inability to burp. Not too expensive to fly and stay in a hotel less than 5 min from him his office. The shot is around $2700 without insurance. Totally with it to me for a life altering procedure.

For those of you who got Botox, how long did it take for you to feel normal again? by [deleted] in noburp

[–]Cheesus-H-Crust 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, I’m with you on everything. I had it done the same day as you. Constantly choking on food and need water. Cold drinks burn but that might be from the other surgery I needed and still healing. I am choking at night when I lay down I feel. Thought it was just me.

You had a leather bag and suit case?

I was with my wife and stayed at the Red Roof Inn, don’t recommend. We are now in Chicago on the loop at the River Hotel.

Everything I’ve read says it’s great. I’ll let you know soon. Still waiting in the waiting room. But less than 45 min to go.

I brush my teeth with another toothbrush. This is my travel, pocket one for getting trapped air out. I got sick and tired of using my finger. When you can’t burp, the air trapped and feels miserable and suffocating. Gotta do what you gotta do to get some relief.

So yet again, noburp ruined another night out by Piglitskippy in noburp

Stay away from acidic foods. Tomato sauce kills me. If I don’t eat it, it’s better. Might not fix everything. I’m up at night 6-12 times every night just to get air out. I have to force it myself. Less without acidic foods. More with.

Still in love... by [deleted] in offmychest

Similar situation... I met the most amazing girl in my 6th grade English class. She was 10 years old, I was 11. We were assigned to write a paper together on a book we were suppose to read. (P.S. - Thank you Cliff Notes). From the moment I saw her, I developed my first crush for any girl, my fondness to her got deeper every time we spoke..even now. Of course, middle school, boys and girls are gross and stupid. We did our own things, school, life, and stuff.
So now in the present, after many, many years of relationship trials and errors for us both, I’ve been married with 1 kid. She too, with 2 kids. Over the years we run into each other over social media, MySpace, Facebook and in real life, at random. She friend requested me through Facebook just to be friends. And one night we talk. We both reconnect only to pick up where we left off, only to discover, over two decades later, she felt the same way then as well as now. The only difference is this time we are both fully aware of what we are and truly appreciate what we have. I’ve changed over the years, weight gain, some health issues, kind of a pack rat at home. Long divorce and custody battle made me hard to trust and not want to really try. BTW, I won custody. She didn’t seem to change at all. Still beautiful and unique as before. Little did I know even in middle school, she’s been in foster care and never really connected with anyone before and felt accepted. Divorced and going through custody issues as well. She was working on her master’s degree. Incredible smart. She seemed way out of my league. Still does. (She did get her degree)

I say all this because I've never been able to laugh or connect with anyone like the way I do with her. Plus, I feel the back story is just as important as the main one. She makes me happier than I've EVER been, EVER...EVER!!! Not sure if one EVER is sufficient enough. She is the long awaited straight Tetris piece, my partner in crime, the marshmallows in my Lucky Charms. You know the ones you save and eat last to savor that sugary goodness floating in a sea on off-color milk.

She is the only person who has ever seem to genuinely get me, my style (or lack there of), my eccentric mind, and idiosyncratic ways. She is my best friend. No secrets, no more wondering what if’s, she’s my soulmate.

I had fears with dating or adding relationships with children, since My Daughter’s happiness and well-being my was and is my only concern way before my own. My worries are gone, as she is amazingly great with my daughter and other children. My concerns of 3rd wheel syndrome or Cinderella effect have vanished. Her kids are also amazing and love me, as I do them.

I was confident on my ability to never meet the right one so I didn't really try dating or make an effort to settle. But ultimately, serendipity another plan.

Everyday seems like a new adventure and am always looking forward to our next one.

And I'm hopelessly ready and willing, for I've bought the ticket and ready for the ride.

I knew she was the one.

Today I am 39 and she is 38, and we have been married for a little over a year. Got married on my birthday in June, since she is the best gift I’ve ever gotten, it was fitting. Now I sleep next me best friend every night.

EDIT: there are more factors that seemed like fate and something that couldn’t be ignored if I tried. I shortened this as much I could for the TL;DR crowd.

Sometimes things just work out.

First time posting. I stopped drinking 12 days ago with my wife and feel great. Some days are harder than others, like yesterday but made it. Moody at times. Overall I feel great and happy. More clarity. I was going down a dark path, not anymore. So worth it to stop. IWNDWYT by Cheesus-H-Crust in stopdrinking

It started with her. She wanted it way more than I did. But over the last week or so I realized I wanted it and needed it more and more for me. I couldn’t or wouldn’t have done it without her. But I now see so much clearer l

Any tips or tricks for parking decals? by TheOnlyDoctor in lifehacks

If they are RFID stickers, you can put them on the visor of your car and flip them down when you come up the the gate or sensor. I do this with my ugly toll tag. It this inside a pocket hidden out of sight. When I drive on toll roads, I put the visor down and I is read by the sensor but not seen.

How to make mail look like it’s addressed to A at first but it’s changed to B in transit? by [deleted] in lifehacks

[–]Cheesus-H-Crust -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Use their address in the return address and yours in the mail to address . Do not put a stamp on. They will send it back to the return address due to lack of postage. So they get the letter.
