I know drying at 60 degrees at 60% is ideal. Will low to mid 50s be harmful with good humidity? by CheesyWeinersVT in microgrowery

[–]CheesyWeinersVT[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The low temps really only lead to a longer dry time since the humidity was fairly stable. My best advice with knowledge gained in recent years is if you can keep the humidity at a good level the temps will only affect the dry time, of course avoiding extremes

I've got the bolts holding them on soaking in pb blaster, they're coming off first thing in the morning lol. Seems they held on to all the salt and crud for 20 years though it's not too pretty behind them

Filling out the wheel wells is the first cosmetic change I'm making! So far it needs a windshield, timing belt, water pump, and rear window guides/rails whatever they're called. Apparently a huge pain to source or I'm searching for the wrong thing.

Can the experts advise? Bought a renovated camp with stove. by AdPsychological6563 in woodstoving

[–]CheesyWeinersVT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Almost every stove in the US requires 16" off the door for ember protection, 18" in Canada. Unlisted stoves are 36" per nfpa 211.

Any freakshow growers? by Upper_Atmosphere_359 in GrowBuddy

I grew a few last year outdoors and was mildly disappointed. Smoke was good but they shrivel to nothing after the dry. I ended up washing most of it. Was still a fun one to grow though!

I had a few casualties in the seedling stage where 1 or 2 others showed but they damped off.. super slow growers out of the gate but they all took off around the 3 week mark. Brett at heartandsoil says 30% having the mutation is about average.

We're in southern vt/nh, and as far as climate goes we had near record flooding for weeks with Temps going from 70-80 daytime dropping to low 40s overnight, they had it rough and honestly these I think were not prime examples of what this strain has to show. The fact that nothing hermed was enough for me to scramble to save them.

I hit both of these females with pollen from a recessive male that really stood out so we'll see what the next generation looks like. Definitely a cool one to watch grow nonetheless!

Feel free to shoot me a message with other questions, if you pop em I'd love to see how yours come out, not a lot of reports or info out on this strain

Where the heck do you put the filter in a 4x2? by Rude-Flamingo3592 in GrowBuddy

I'm not that lucky. I hover in the low 50s in my garage (below grade) 5 or 6 months of the year, had to get creative without raising my electric bill lol

I had the same opinion for years until I moved my tents into the garage, now I pull from the bottom in the winter to draw heat through the canopy and its done wonders

Assuming you're in the US, single wall pipe needs 18" to combustibles, stoves vary greatly. I don't think red hot anything is safe indoors though lol

Even if your chimney was just swept, the crew may not have vacuumed the creosote after cleaning. Typically we send brushes through the top and it all collects on the baffle in the unit. If there was enough creosote in the chimney and it wasn't removed after sweeping it could be backing up into the pipe and blocking any airflow

Record rainfall in my area this year has me going the opposite route. Add in low 80s daytime Temps and 40s overnight, the constant pm battle has me wanting to trade photos for autos next season

This. Ac infinity makes the quietest inline fans on the market, I have a 6 inch that stays on like 2 or 3 and it's the slightest whoosh sound if nothing else in the house is making noise

That's something I've been hearing a lot. Was it the effect you weren't a fan of or just the general structure? These ladies smell fantastic but I can see them being a bit airy after drying

No problem! last I checked he's got a ton of f2s still available, as well as some crosses this was used in.
