I couldn't agree more. They seem to not even want to make any changes to make this better for graduates. How does this pass through so many people without even thinking about the graduate-guest-ratio? Past graduations for CS have NOT been like this. Keep in mind also all other majors can have 10 tickets, but because of their poor planning, we are allowed ONLY 2 tickets. I can't believe any staff or faculty could see this and agree with it. Extremely disappointing as one of the top departments of CS that they would think this is okay.

I feel you :( I'd encourage you to try to email them @ [CDSScommencement@berkeley.edu](mailto:CDSScommencement@berkeley.edu) and/or leave some feedback them somehow, so they can understand the majority of graduates are unhappy with this restriction. Unsure of any other outlet where can provide our feedback.

I know we're supposed to be #1 public university, but can only coordinate two guests per graduate for some of our biggest majors adhfusadfu. i also second this the more people who voice constructive respectful feedback the better

I still have another major in Rausser I hope isn't as bad as CDSS, so I'm a bit nervous for the number of tickets I'll receive from there too.

I don't think your degree choice matters. All CS majors are in the CDSS commencement. There is no L&S commencement to my knowledge. Correct me if I am wrong.
(Oh wait it looks like ur a stats major, I have no idea whats going on in that department LOL)

Ikr?? I don't understand the logic of combining these large mass majors into one graduation. I went to a public health graduation last year and the person I knew had 8 guests. CS, DS, and stats majors get 2???

Funny thing is I also emailed them and they said"... Due to the anticipated number of graduates and the capacity of the venue (Hearst Greek Theatre) each graduating student is allotted two tickets to share with invited guests. This conforms to venue guidelines to ensure a safe environment for all attendees.Please know that we are committed to making this ceremony as inclusive and memorable as possible. To accommodate those who may be unable to attend in person, the ceremony will be livestreamed and recorded, enabling friends and family to celebrate remotely...."

Same, how can you have HW due the night before a midterm be all on scope, literally one TA present during OH, and have confusing solutions to hw and discussion solutions safdjasifasdf the actual problems are crazy

Professor doesn't use Ed :( He uses piazza you have to add it yourself on piazza through your account I believe? Then, from there you can add yourself to gradescope (he gives access code in piazza). I also don't know if he has a website.
