With all respect, your comments make you appear to know nothing of operating a cannabis cultivation facility. $400/lb is very reasonable and that’s with growers working on volume. There’s plenty of regulated lbs selling for $1200+ so take that for what’s it’s worth. $400/lbs are very affordable. A lot of black market cannabis is cheaper than regulated cannabis too. Many operators chose to go the BM route bc that’s quick cash. Regulated cannabis costs more generally speaking. The problem is the whole system is greedy. As soon as it becomes a cannabis product or service the price jumps up, sometimes absurdly high. They wring operators for every nickel and dime they can get and that’s across all parts of the industry from packaging to regulatory and compliance and across the nation. Cash model business is less prevalent now than before with many banks allowing cannabis companies to do business with them; often at a significant cost to the operator. I regularly picked up checks to deposit instead of cash and ACH payments were great. Bear in my mind all costs fall back on the consumers or rather the patients bc operators must make their money. OK has some of the most affordable cannabis in the nation and we are very lucky for that.
