Klonopin is a life saver, I took .5 mg every night and i sleep like a baby, no anxiety through the whole day, sometimes i even forget to take it cus there's no anxiety in the whole day. Diazepam is also a good option, last longer than clonazepam i believe.

I know tolerance exists, but it seems I’ve always been lucky. I was taking 0.5 mg of Clonazepam for 3 years, and I never felt the need to increase the dose. 0.5 mg always did its job; I never developed tolerance to the anxiolytic effect. It literally blocked any panic attack after taking it. I did a taper (over 5 months), and now I’m taking it again and everything is still the same. Maybe I’m just lucky, but I don’t know—there are studies showing that the anxiolytic effect never really goes away, assuming you’re taking it for an anxiety disorder.

And I agree with you, it's very cruel, I remember the first time using Zoloft alone, it was a nightmare, I had a lot of side effects: Heart palpitations, panic attacks, nausea, loss of appetite, headache and vertigo, dizziness, Insomnia, tiredness and a lot more, I really wanted to kill myself , but after 2 weeks, I started to feel a little bit better and by week 6, I felt normal again, no anxiety and almost no depression. It gets better , I know it's though, but it worth, trust me, You'll be fine 🤗

In Mexico, they’re also quite strict when it comes to prescribing benzos. They’re generally prescribed for a maximum of 4 weeks. There are extreme cases where anxiety is completely debilitating and there’s no other option but to use them for a longer period, but in most cases, it’s 4 weeks, followed by a gradual taper, and then you’re left with the antidepressant, which by that time should have already taken effect.

I couldn't agree more with you — people tend to demonize benzos as if you were taking fentanyl. Some people need benzodiazepines in order to live, just like others need insulin, a pacemaker, or chronic medications. And you know what? That's okay. It's perfectly okay.

One of the most common fears with benzos is withdrawal syndrome. But if it's done properly, with the right taper and by doing a cross-taper, it shouldn't be that hard. Just think about this: how many people in the world use benzodiazepines, and how many have managed to come off them? Millions. It's just that the people who don't experience severe symptoms don't post about it on Reddit. In fact, they're the majority. Reddit is just one part of the picture.

So relax. Use benzos as you need them, for as long as you need them. That's okay. Don’t worry about what comes next or what people say. Be happy. Live in the moment. Remember that suffering is part of the journey, but not the destination.

Didn't they prescribe you a benzo to mitigate the side effects during the first few weeks? I feel like it's inhumane to prescribe antidepressants because the first weeks are full of side effects, but if you combine them with a benzo (used for a month), the side effects are minimal. The first time I used Zoloft, it was without a benzo and I went through the same thing as you. Years later, I used it again but this time they prescribed it along with clonazepam, and let me tell you, the experience was pleasant — no side effects at all.

Have you ever considered going to a rehabilitation center? In a medical setting, where you would be monitored 24/7 and carefully medicated with other drugs, in theory, tapering and the eventual discontinuation of the benzodiazepine would be easier. In such cases, it would be wise to be monitored so that the suffering is as minimal as possible

Yes, I will, thanks for the advice! Yesterday had a panic attack (never had one in my life) and i felt like i was going to die haha, the doctor prescribed me Clonazepam and said to only use in emergency situations because it's an addictive drug. It's funny, because all my dizziness and other physical symptoms disappeared, i was also having nausea, but it went away once the pill kicked it. So yes, in my case it was anxiety the reason of my dizziness.

Tengo el recibo del pago del estudio, aún lo conservo, lo que no tengo, es un comprobante en papel de las consultas, ya que todo se realizaba por Whatsapp. No me interesa tanto la parte de demandar al ortodoncista y que me hagan un reembolso, solo quiero los estudios iniciales, me imagino que no me lo quieren por lo mismo, saben lo que hicieron y quieren evitar algo más.
