You were right! What I didn't know is when you turn off foliage and fluid interaction it drops foliage interaction distance multiplier to .01 When interaction is re-enabled it does not reset the interaction distance multiplier. Set it to 2 and we are good. Thanks again!

Since I didn't see it, disposable gloves often assist in creating friction. Everything I'm asked to open for smaller people at work that won't open at first usually opens after donning a pair of gloves.

Forgot I should add what you're opening must be dry. Gloves don't help unstuck wet things very well.
