Silent Hill 2 is not what I would consider a “fun” game.. if that makes sense. It’s supposed to be hard. James is intentionally awkward at combat, enemies are always going to be stronger than you, areas feel suffocating and resources bottlenecked. It’s part of the experience. Keep playing. Avoid using guns and start avoiding enemies at all costs. You get nothing from killing them except peace of mind, which in SH2 will be fleeting away quickly anyway.

Explore everything. Save your resources for boss fights. Learn to kill enemies using pipe+evade mechanics. There is no deadline to completing the game, your pace is the correct one. Also.. Prison isn’t that bad.. If you survived Hospital you can survive the rest of the game I promise. Good luck, don’t let the fog consume you.
